Combined with Suidhe Lodge, great venue for a special family gathering

We rented The Lodge and The Garden Cottage together for a special birthday family gathering. We ranged in age from 8 months to 78 years, and the venue and the location were perfect - comfortable and spacious, in an area bursting with outdoor activity opportunities

Fantastic weekend away.

Great little cottage/lodge for amazing family time getaway together. Has been updated and refreshed from when we were last here in 2022 and it’s all the better for it. Very cozy with wood burning stove new shower room and en-suite in main bedroom. Nice little friendly bar on site also. What more do you need?

A wonderful family holiday

We booked the garden cottage alongside Suidhe Lodge for a three-generation family holiday and had a wonderful week. The garden cottage is lovely and comfortable and had everything we needed and the hot tub was a big hit with the children. The location is excellent, very close to Loch Insh for water activities and only 10 minutes drive to Aviemore and Kingussie. We visited Landmark for a day which was also nearby and a great day out for all the family.

Family favourite

Love this little house & perfect for 4 people but the 3rd bedroom being off the 2nd bedroom compromises its use. If the window out to the garden could be made into a door that would at least give the option to get out of 3rd bedroom without going through the 2nd bedroom. A nespresso machine would be useful please. I bring my own but easier not to. Love the hot tub!

Beautiful tranquil retreat.

Great stay for a family holiday. It’s lovely and cosy (love the log burner) but plenty of space and perfect layout for little kids. Lovely outdoor space which feels very tranquil and great size garden if you needed for a dog. The new kitchen has everything you need and the new bathrooms were lovely. Location is perfect if you fancy getting out for beautiful walks/hikes/cycles and plenty of lochs nearby. If you’d like an extra luxury too there’s a new loch side sauna at Loch An Eilein.

Another Very Enjoyable Stay

We are repeat visitors to Suidhe Garden Cottage. A great location, easy to get to. Plenty to do in the area. It is a very comfortable, spacious, yet cosy cottage. It is well equipped. Radiators and heated clothes airer great for drying wet gear and washing. Love the log burner. The hot tub used every night, come wind, rain and snow. The recent upgrades have added to the quality. We will be back! And then there's the Suie Bar............

A nice wee cottage

We enjoyed our stay however having only 1 bathroom with 4 adults was a little challenging at times. The cottage is lovely with lots of windows and it gives you the feeling of living in the forest. We found the garden a little challenging for dogs because although the owners had definitely tried to enclose the garden, our dog (a cockapoo)managed to get into a neighbouring garden twice. We had a wonderful week though and the Highland Wildlife Centre was a real high.

Great vibe, private location, generously appointed.

We absolutely loved this cottage, and want to go back. It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, both inside and out. As a party of six we felt there was plenty of living space (although two people had to sleep in the bunk bed room off the master bedroom). The beds are super comfy. The kitchen has everything you need to self cater. The generous dining table can expand to a provide a large, luxurious dining space. The hot tub is toasty warm, and someone visits every second day to maintain it to a high standard. In the secluded garden are outdoor benches and tables galore to let you catch the sun (when it appears.) This area of Scotland is spectacularly beautiful with excellent walks. The only slight downside was that guests cannot control the heating, or turn off radiators. For us the cottage was on the hot side so we had to open all the windows, but that did not detract from a great stay.

Wonderful Stay

The garden cottage is absolutely wonderful- we booked it in conjunction with the larger Suidhe Lodge for our small family wedding, and all the guests that stayed in the cottage absolutely loved it. It’s lovely and open and spacious inside, and having its own hot tub and garden area is fantastic! We would recommend the cottage to anyone, and will likely book it again just for ourselves as a return visit.

Absolutely fabulous cottage

We really enjoyed our stay! Beautifully located, comfortable, and cozy cottage. Our dog was also very welcome because the garden is fenced. Met the owners at the pub. Very welcoming people who put their heart and soul into their work. We'll definitely be back!

Fantastic cottage in beautiful location

My husband, daughter and I spent lovely week at Suidhe Garden Cottage which was just perfect. The cottage was beautiful in a lovely enclosed secluded garden ideal for our dog. The hot tub was amazing and bbq used most evenings. The lovely log fire was very cosy on chilly evenings and all the facilities in the cottage great. The location was perfect, peaceful but very near loch Insh where we enjoyed lots of activities. Can’t wait to return and would definitely recommend it.

Excellent Stay!

The cottage has everything you need and more. All rooms fully equipped and nothing wasn’t thought of. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, especially with the added bonus of the bar next door. Will definitely return for another stay.

Cosy cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at the Suidhe Garden Cottage! It was clean and cosy. We got all informations we needed. It was very clean. Lots of fresh towels. Special towels were provided for the hot tub, which was great after lonng walks. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. And there IS a washing machine. We loved the fire log. There were enough logs provided to make a cosy evening. We loved to go to the nearby Suie Bar. Monday is Folkmusic night. On Thursday you can get great and fresh prepared sourdough pizza directly in front of the pub. The Old Postoffice Cafe Gallery is worth a visit. Greatest Italian food and amazing cakes. Wonderful pieces of Anne Vastanos Art. Loch Insh is nearby. Lots of water sport possibilities. Nice walks nearby. The locals are warm and open to foreigners.

Brilliant little place just outside Aviemore

Well equipped, nice furnishings, spotless and a hot tub- what’s not to love! We had a great time staying here and would look to book here again.

Lovely stay in a lovely location, just a couple of little touches would have made it perfect.

Cleanliness was let down with a soiled toiled which had been left i presume from previous users. Was cold, radiators didn't stay on long enough, however log burner was a god send Very friendly, especially in the Suid bar which is close by.

Lovely cosy cottage

Stayed here with a friend for the weekend. Great location, close to Aviemore with buses available regularly. The facilities were excellent with a hot tub and a log burner with good instructions on how to use. The area is perfect for walks and Aviemore has some lovely pubs and cafes.

Our week in Kincraig

The cottage had everything we needed for our week. The garden had the sun most of the day so was nice to sit out in relative seclusion. The hot tub was great. The kitchen had everything we needed for all our meals and the wood burning stove made it very cosy in the evening. The WiFi was very good. The location was great for walks off road to Loch Insh especially for our springer spaniel. There are also great places to launch your paddle board. The village cafe is great for lunch
