Beautiful house, perfect for a weekend with all the family, plenty of parking space for two big cars. The access road is a wee bit rough and narrow, but we managed fine, just take it slow. The decor is stunning, modern, bright and airy, with underfloor heating which was amazing in this cold weather, with an open plan living room, kitchen, dining area, with a log burner The kitchen is well equipped and the dining area has a large wooden table with eight chairs. All members of our group had their own rooms and bathrooms which was ideal. The house was the perfect base, 15 minute drive from Callander and less than 10mins from Loch Katrine cruise. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful house

Beautiful house with a glorious mountain view! Lovely spot beside the river and the pub. We’ll equipped house, beautifully decorated. We travelled with young kids who loved the garden, grounds and locale. We’d love to stay again if the host will have us :-)

Wonderful Home

Great location and such a great home! Everything at the home as described on the posting. Silvia's restaurant recommendations are great! And she was so helpful in the run-up to our arrival. Just a small piece of feedback and a heads-up for other folks is accessing the parking space for the house, although plenty of room when inside the gate, getting thru the gate with a 9 seater Transit van size vehicle is a little tricky..... definitely doable just a little tricky! Not sure what Silvia could do about it. Otherwise a fabulous Home & Area....loved it!

Great property - let down by expectations of location & amenities

Overall, this is a lovely property - very clean, comfortable, modern and well equipped. Some helpful feedback which could help improve the experience for future guests... Location. Was not as advertised. Vrbo ad states "This vacation home is located in Callander". Only after booking was made did we learn that the property was in fact some 5/6 miles outside of Callander, with no amenities nearby, except for a pub (next door) - The Byrne - which is advertised as having "great food and drink all day" but actually was closed on one of the four days we were staying, and did not provide food on another of the days. On that second attempt to source food, we were told we couldn't even sit inside the building to have a drink due to a problem with the boiler. We retreated to source food from another drive into Callander - shaving another hour in travel and food wait time from our "relaxing" evening. Tea room was apparently "40 steps away" but in reality it was more than 40 steps simply to get to the main road. Dog Friendly Yes, but if it weighs over 22lbs then expect a 100 GBP extra charge. We had with us two dogs. One, a small cocker spaniel, at his slimmest is still 33lbs. The extra charge seemed excessive for both dogs being over 22lbs! River Access Minor point, but told we could "fish/swim from our garden edge...in Black Water River" but without heavy duty garden implements, this would have been almost impossible.

The charges for the dogs is implemented to cover deep cleaning of hairs and muddy marks in the new floor and carpets. It covers possible health hazards ( allergies)to prospective next occupants of the property. The property is New. The payment to bring a pet or two is optional so if Keith felt it was too much, he should have opted out. It is optional and not compulsory. He had a choice... £50per dog for a 4 night stay is much cheaper than a kennel!! The address advertised clearly states Brig o Turk and therefore guests can see before they book where exactly they are staying. It is lack of common sense and logic that needs to be used when booking a property to figure it out its location. The National Park is not a village but a house in the middle of nature. If guests want to fish they can acess the right side of the rivers by our own garden next door. They only have to ask to get the appropriate directions for access. Overall this person s comments are unfair and untrue. The pub next door is independent and we can't control their activities. Overall it us a shame that thus group could not enjoyed 1500sqf new property with a lovely garden, bbq and stunning g walks at their doorstep.
