Relaxing cottage w/open fire in the Southern hills of Scotland (family friendly)
Just over an hour's drive from Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Carlisle, Braeside cottage is a perfect get-away from the hustle and bustle of city life. This charming holiday cottage is located in the rural village of Wanlockhead, near Sanquhar, in the countryside of Dumfries and Galloway on the Southern Uplands of Scotland.
Comfortably sleeping up to four guests , Braeside makes an idyllic base for a small family, couples or group of friends seeking a Scottish adventure. Super fast WIFI makes this semi-detached cottage an ideal place to work from while being nestled in the Lowther Hills. Wanlockhead is Scotland's highest village, at an elevation of around 1531ft, and can be accessed via the B797, which connects it to the A76 near Sanquhar and the A74(M) motorway at Abington.

-Bathroom with roll-top bath, walk-in shower, basin and WC
-Kitchen and separate dinning room
-Living room with TV with Fire TV (Netflix, BBC, Prime etc), DVD
player/DVDs, and HDMI lead to watch from laptop (no signal
from aerial for channels)
-Fibre Broadband/WiFi
-Shed to store cycles
-Enclosed private garden with stunning views, outdoor seating
and BBQ options
-Non Smoking property
-Daily songbird wake up call
Amenities: Gas central heating with wood burning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer. TV with Fire stick to view Netflix, BBC, Disney, Prime etc., DVD player with DVDs , HDMI lead to watch from laptop. Powerful WiFi. Fuel, power and starter pack for wood burning stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Enclosed front garden.
Note: There are CCTV cameras outside the house and inside facing the front door . The inside camera will be switched off during your stay but the outside 'sheep' cam will remain on to alert us of trespassing sheep!
