The location was excellent; close to lots of main attractions. The apartment was awful; the representations in the advertisement were not all accurate. The stairs to the mezzanine bedroom are dangerous: in particular, the tread is too shallow, and partially covered by the step above. The ceiling of the mezzanine level is very low; I am 5 foot seven and if I stood straight, my head hit the ceiling. Also, there is a still lower beam between the bed area and some closet/storage space; we hit our heads there a few times, sometimes painfullyThe “ outdoor space” is useless; it is a small area enclosed by four or five stories of the building. The location is cozy, but more accurately described as claustrophobic. Check the photos; the sofa in the living area is unusually low for sitting, so this makes the room look larger and the ceiling higher. The staff were easy to deal with and helpful, but they couldn’t do anything about the space itself.

Positive about the appartment: location!! It’s in the centre around the corner from Sol plaza. Prado, Thijsen en Sophia walking distance. Easy to walk or take metro to other, quieter, areas. Also positive the kind and on time reception, such a nice man! But the apartment itself is really very small and has an absurdly low ceiling everywhere. We could barely stand upright in the bathroom, kitchen/living area, but upstairs we had to stoop all the time and banged our heads multiple times on the brown beam you can see in the picture. I am 1.78 and could not stand straight. Also the terrace doesn’t deserve the name, it is at the very bottom of a air vent, you can’t look out only up four stories. Walls surround it. There are no windows looking out, no fresh air. You can smell the fried eggs of the upstairs neighbors in the morning. All water pipes go through the “airvent” so when any of the upstairs neighbors (4 stories) use either the toilets or showers there is a cascade of water comping down the pipes which sounds as if you are in a waterfall. It was really warm in the apartment although outside temperature was -1. I won’t return.
