About this property
Owl Barn - a self catering cottage that sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms
Ideally located just a five‑minute walk from Morston Quay and the North Norfolk coastal path, this stylish three-bedroom, two-bathroom barn conversion offers contemporary living in one of the coast's most sought-after locations.
Step inside to discover a light and beautifully finished interior, where natural tones and exposed wooden beams create a warm yet modern feel. The ground floor features a spacious tiled entrance hall leading to three well-proportioned bedrooms, including a delightful king-size bedroom with en‑suite bathroom, a further generous king bedroom, and a comfortable twin room. A family shower room completes this level.
Stairs lead up to an impressive open-plan living space, set beneath vaulted ceilings and open to the roof rafters. This stunning upper floor provides a light-filled sitting area with a cosy log burner, a dining space, and a sleek, fully equipped kitchen—perfect for relaxing and entertaining. Large glazed doors open onto a private balcony overlooking the beautiful grounds of neighbouring Morston Hall, enhancing the airy loft-style feel.
The property is set within a small, exclusive development of barn conversions and cottages, with an attractive frontage and parking for two cars. While there is no garden, the coast is quite literally on your doorstep, making it easy to step straight out into the surrounding natural beauty.
Morston itself is a charming coastal village with a welcoming local pub, The Anchor, serving food, and the renowned Morston Hall, home to an award-winning restaurant — ideal for special occasions.
A short walk brings you to Morston Quay, now managed by the National Trust, where you'll find sailing dinghies, boat trips to Blakeney Point's famous seal colony, and a popular quayside café. From here, enjoy scenic walks across the salt marshes or along the coastal path towards Blakeney.
Just a short drive away are some of North Norfolk's best-loved destinations, including the expansive sandy beaches at Wells‑next‑the‑Sea and Holkham—perfect for a day by the sea. One small/medium dog allowed. Please note, there is no garden or outside space.

Owl barn was perfect for what we needed. In a great location within a few minutes walk of morston quay, opposite morston hall and near by all the main places to go.
It was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.

A lovely character property in a lovely quiet location but well placed to visit larger villages/towns. Beautiful deli hamper on arrival although it got nabbed quiet quickly by my son, and Bentley the black lab loved his ball, thank you would highly recommend.
The property was ideal for us grandparents, parents and children. It had everything we needed and we enjoyed playing the board games.

Beautiful Barn
A beautifully appointed barn in a lovely quiet location.
The barn is a great size with all the emenities you need for a short stay. We loved the little welcome pack of juice, cake, biscuits, milk, tea, coffee etc. It was also useful to have access to cleaning materials (left under kitchen sink).
The barn doors opening giving a nice glimpse of Morston Hall Hotel really bought the outside in, and we loved the open plan feel upstairs.
It is very well located, only a very short walk to Morston Quay and onto the coastal path that takes you to Blakeney etc.
We had a truly relaxing stay here and will definitely be back.
We found parking outside the barn is quite tight (we came in two cars), but eventually made use of the additional parking space by the garage/bin store.

Highly recommend
We had a great Christmas holiday in this very well-equipped holiday barn. There was a good amount of space so that we didn’t feel crowded, and it is so nice to finally be able to say that the beds were so comfy in a holiday let!
It was prettily decorated for Christmas and it was probably the best equipped holiday let kitchen we’ve had anywhere; thank you it made catering on Christmas Day easy.
Although there was a key safe, we needed a second key. I contacted the out-of-hours number (Christmas Eve) and a key was supplied within a few hours - first rate service.
A shout out for the cleaning company - everywhere and everything was spotless.
The only improvement would be to provide a coat stand and boot rack in the entrance hallway for when there are a lot of wet coats and muddy boots to dry, but that is only a minor suggestion.
Highly recommend.

Lovely property but lets itself down due to lack of attention to detail, especially cleanliness in some areas. Many dead insects including large moth on the upstairs windowsills plus a sizeable cobweb around one window. Smearing on the glass kitchen worktop protectors and crumbs and grains of rice in the cutlery tray. If you're going to leave milk for guests, put it in the fridge. We didn't know how long it had been on the kitchen side (the previous guests left some days before) but it was a warm day when we arrived and the milk was quite warm, so, down the sink. Whatever cleaning material is used to wash the bedding and towels leaves an unpleasant chemical smell. I unclogged blocked up nozzles in the shower head but, even then, the water flow was not much more than a trickle. The shower hose was black near the shower head, and the condition of the shower cubicle, including the shower door, isn’t what you’d expect from a nearly 300 per night establishment. Finally, to turn on the hot taps in the downstairs bathrooms, you actually have to turn them clockwise, whereas it’s normally anticlockwise. Only minor a point but if, like me, guests try to turn them on anticlockwise with some force the result could end up with a broken tap and water everywhere. You may notice that the hot taps are either a little loose or a bit angled. On leaving, we removed the black liner from the kitchen bin; it’s grim. Overall, a lovely property, but, unfortunately, it’s the little things!
