Granary Cottage - a cottage that sleeps 2 guests in 1 bedroom
Set in the grounds of West Charleton Grange, this perfectly formed cottage sleeps up to two adults in total comfort, and there is also space for a cot in the bedroom for those bringing a baby.
Walking into the cottage on the ground floor there is a sumptuous king size bedroom and en suite bathroom. Upstairs you'll find an open plan area with well-equipped kitchen, dining and living area. With exposed beams and sash windows overlooking the luscious grounds, you will feel instantly relaxed on your holiday.
In the grounds, the indoor swimming pool will be a wonderful place for morning lengths, or if you're bringing a little one, they will love their first splashes in the water. The tennis court (also with basketball hoop) plus the outdoor table tennis table will be well-loved by couples who are into their sports.
Explore the grounds (try to find the secret garden) and enjoy the comfortable outside seating areas for evening drinks, or eating al fresco. For larger gatherings, The Folly is a gorgeous entertaining space and we can help suggest private chefs for special occasions (please note that use of the Folly is an additional £150). Or simply prepare the popcorn, and enjoy a Hollywood blockbuster on the big screen inside.

This is a lovely cottage - clean and bright - The double bed is not the largest! The stairs are very steep and my biggest bug bear is the 3 remotes needed to use the TV why in this day and age spoil the ship for an apeth of tar !

Thank you so much for your review, we really appreciate you taking the time to let us now about this points. We shall be passing on to the owners of the property to look into the TV remotes. We quite agree! :)

Disliked: Communication
Low shower and poor client service
The accommodation and surrounds were nice enough and the pool was lovely.
However, upon arrival we noticed the shower height at about 5ft 4" was too low for my husband to use - this wasn’t highlighted in the property description and you can’ t tell from a photo otherwise we wouldn’t have booked it.
Sadly we experienced little interest in this issue raised by both the property manager and the owners and were offered to shower at the side of the public pool with no privacy to even shower without clothing on or in one of the many unoccupied but uncleaned apartments (said they didn't want to put out the cleaners out).
We also noticed a musty smell in the ground floor bedroom and my partner stood on a slug during the night on the bedroom floor. We left early, and found wonderful accommodation elsewhere where we were finally able to relax and enjoy our hard earned break.
Sadly the main issue sits with the owners and way the properties are run, We would not recommend this place, in particular the way they tried to make us feel like we were the problem (a shower head fixed at 5ft4" is standard apparently) and nothing was wrong with their holiday accommodation at all (mouldy lights and slugs are included free of charge).
We would recommend client service training as overall this was the most shocking and disappointing experience- particularly when the owners slammed the door upon leaving their inspection of the accommodation.
