Cosy Cottage Escape for 2 close to Lyme Regis, dog friendly

Greenwood Cottage is great for couples, solo travellers and business trips with free high speed Wi-Fi. 40" Smart HD TV with on demand services & private parking.

Looking south towards the coast and to the back of Golden Cap, the highest point of the south coast. Lyme Barn is perfect for exploring the incredible West Dorset coastline, whether you would like to walk the coastal path or visit the sites and places of Charmouth or Lyme Regis which make this area one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Greenwood Cottage is ideally located for those who wish to walk the Jurassic Coastline. The coastal footpath is only 10 minutes walk from your accommodation. You can pick up anything your need from the local stores, either Felicities Farm shop or Moores Biscuits in Morcombelake. There are a selection of shops, a cafe and amenities in Charmouth just a 5 minute drive away heading West on the A35, or head East to Bridport which offers supermarkets, a street market on Wednesdays and Saturdays and a host of artisan shops.

We will accept only 1 well behaved dog. Don't forget to add your dog to your reservation, there is a dog fee of £30. Many Thanks

Please note that Lyme Barn is situated on the A35 therefore, some parts of the day traffic noise from tree-screened A35 can be sometimes heard from the garden.

We have free on-site parking. Greenwood Cottage is also on a main bus route, the bus stop is at the bottom of the garden so there is no need to drive to visit local villages, towns etc.

OUR GARDEN FURNITURE IS STORED AWAY SAFELY IN THE WINTER MONTHS

Ruth was an excellent host, she left lots of things for us to enjoy even nibbles for the dog!.

The cottage is ideal for a couple, very clean and comfortable. Ruth our host, provided everything anyone could wish for to make our stay enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was just a shame about the weather but even Ruth couldn't change that!

Lyme Barn, Mircombelake

Just got back from a great stay at Lyme Barn. Property is spot on for a couple, great access to the best spots on the Jurassic Coast. Ruthie (out host) was lovely- brilliant to communicate with and that makes all the difference. Location is close to the A35 so some road noise which we knew about beforehand and didn't bother us a bit. Looking forward to coming back.

Best place to stay in Lyme Regis.

Incredibly clean and tidy, perfectly situated near to Lyme and a main road for easy access to surrounding towns/villages. Everything was thought of including coffee milk and fresh bread and jam. Has all facilities needed included dishwasher and washing machine ironing board. Large out door space perfect for a little dog. Very good value Overall will definitely book here again. A1.

Our short stay

The property was nice it had a problem of a continual wet tiled floor either the fridge was leaking or there was a condensation problem never did find out but vrbo sent us the details for the cottage next door which wasn’t helpful so I had to contact owner to get the right key code number so it didn’t start too well as they say you live and learn

Guests gained entry into the wrong cottage which was empty and then phoned and complained! They also brought a dog without my prior knowledge or paying our Pet Fee. There was a problem with the fridge which we couldn't get the guests to understand! Hope they can find accommodation more suitable for them in future

What's not to like about living on the Dorset/Devon border? everything is on your doorstep, there's always lots going on in local villages i.e street fairs/markets etc.

What makes this property unique

Greenwood was recently refurbished and offers our guests a lovely clean and cosy accommodation, perfect for visiting Dorset and Devon coastal villages or country villages. We also accept 1 well behaved dog as we know they are part of your family. Greenwood is located on the A35 and a stones throw from a bus stop so if you want a day off driving, no problem.
