Kerlerec Victorian Cottage - Steps to French Qtr. Historic Getaways

Welcome to your home away from home! This cozy Treme gem, located a block from tree-lined Esplanade Avenue is the perfect home base for a weekend of NOLA exploring. Featuring granite countertops with new appliances and a comfortable living room, along with a spacious loft space upstairs, this four-bedroom cottage has everything. Relax with beer and crawfish in our tree-lined backyard before hitting the French Quarter, just a 5 minute walk away.

Sleeps 8, backyard available for use. Kitchen stocked to prepare any meals, Keurig with coffee provided. All bathrooms come with essentials such as 3-in-1 shampoo/conditioner/bodywash and fluffy towels!

Street parking is available.

Great neighborhood - close to everything!

All reservations require a $500 refundable deposit.
Operator lives on property but will not use any of the guest spaces during yout visit. Operator has a separate entrance and exit and their own private amenities.
This is family neighborhood. We ask all our guests to be awesome representatives of their city while visiting ours.
Quiet times after 10pm.
NO smoking allowed in the house !

Chicago to NOLA or bust

Came in on motorcycles from Chicago. Great place to stay everything was great and as expected. Great location! Very enjoyable stay. Found great local bar Bubba’s down the street with great burgers and also great food at Li’l Dizzy’s walking distance.

Quaint historic house in great location

When we first arrived we thought it was a bit strange with so many bedrooms and enough beds to sleep a dozen adults. We only needed two rooms but the bathrooms were good and the kitchen was good enough to cater at home. Good location being near to the French quarter. And near to Habana - a great taco bar popular with young locals.

The Property Managers from Historic Getaways were great and did what they could to make our stay more enjoyable. They get a five star.We did not feel the cottage was fairly represented. When we arrived, we found only three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of the reasons we rented this particular cottage was because it had three bathrooms. We contacted the Property Managers and they said the other bedroom was being used by the owner. They said the owner would be out by noon the next day. The room was empty and cleaned by the next day. However, we were not happy that the door to that room only locked from the inside, which meant that the person in that room had access to all of our personal belongings when we were not there.The footage was well worn, and did not look clean and bright as depicted in the photos. There were no dressers in the bedroom!! The bedrooms did have a rod screwed into the wall to hang clothes, but there were no closets. Since there were no dressers, you had to use the mattress of the unused bed as a dresser. There was not a standard size dining table. There was a small table in the kitchen that four people could eat at. There were only three cocktail glasses in the cupboard. Historic Getaways did bring us three additional glasses, two more chairs and robes that were listed in the amenities but were not in the cottage. There were wooden floors in a lot of the rooms and bathrooms. These floors were quite old and some planlks had gaps.

House was nice. Block house was on could use some work but very close to nicer areas and had no problems walking around at night. Great for a group of 7 friends. 15-20 minute walk to good parts of Bourbon St. Wifi, soap, shampoo all included.

Very Impressive!

This is a lovely house a few blocks from the french quarter. It is located on a very charming street with a lot of other historic homes. The rooms are very well appointed and there's cool artwork up on the walls. The neighbors were very friendly. Hosts were easy to work with.

Lovely Home Close to Everything!

We had an awesome time in new orleans! We loved this house and its close to tons of great stuff. It was a short 5-10 min walk to bourbon street, and about the same to Frenchmen street (where all the good live music is). Just my opinion - but spend as much time on frenchmen as possible and forget bourbon! Sydney's Saloon is a block away and a fun place to drink or dance.

Fantastic Place

We were so happy with this house. The hosts were so nice. they met us at the property to check us in, were always available, and super responsive. The house has everything we needed, including laundry. The beds were quite comfortable and the location is great. you can walk to bourbon or frenchmen streets within 10 minutes and its a very pleasant walk. the house has recently been renovated and is in excellent condition. highly recommend.

Excellent location and spacious

Everyone had a great time for an NFL weekend and some French quarter action. We walked down and back from the French quarter all weekend and stopped at local hangouts along the way. Big thanks to the owners for some treats in the fridge on check in. Highly recommend.
