A short Malta break

A great location, superb views. The electronic door lock was a challenge but great support from Zzzing helped us out. The apartment is 67 steps up but there is an elevator ( a bit rickity) but it all added to the fun. We would stay again.

We flew all day to arrive in Valletta and the VRBO around 8 PM. It was around 93 degrees, very high humidity. We got through the main door onto this incredibly narrow elevator that cannot handle 2 people with luggage, arrived at the apartment door and the combination would not work to open the apartment door. We tried multiple times before reaching out to VRBO and the owner. The owner never answered his phone or emails. You cannot safely get out of the elevator and onto the floor platform unless you open the apartment door. We were trapped in the elevator, exhausted, sweating horrifically, and I was bleeding from my foot. VRBO could not reach the owner and could not provide the correct code. We ended up purchasing two hotel rooms for 5,500 for the week. We had rented a 2 bedroom VRBO because we need 2 bedrooms. So, now we needed 2 hotel rooms. It cost us over 3,000 more than the VRBO. The first night, we could only obtain 1 hotel room as everything was booked. So, my travel companion had to sleep on the floor in the bathroom all night. The second day, we were able to locate a second hotel room. It is cruel and inhumane what this owner did to us. It is unforgivable.

Arrivée difficile, le paiement de l'éco taxe, pourtant confirmé par l'hôte (zzzing) n'a pas été pris en compte dans la procédure. L'interface d'accueil est donc restée bloquée comme nous le craignions depuis 3 jours et le code d'accès au logement n'a pas été fourni. Communication téléphonique compliquée pour le récupérer. Outre cela, logement conforme à la description. Superbe vue sur la rade. Manque d'équipements basiques en cuisine et quelques éléments défectueux.Food market à 5 minutes. Arrêts de bus à proximité.
