This beautifully appointed log cabin is nestled in the private gated community of Powder Horn Mountain, just 10 miles from downtown Boone. With three levels of decks and mountain views, a hot tub, and a fully equipped game room, this home is designed for a relaxing and memorable High Country getaway.
Sleeping up to 10 guests comfortably, this is more than just a vacation rental — it’s a well-equipped mountain home where you can truly settle in and unwind.
Sleeping Arrangements & Layout
Main Level: Two bedrooms with Queen beds - Full bathroom - Spacious living room and fully equipped kitchen
Upper Level: Private primary suite with King bed - Coffee maker and mini fridge station - Full ensuite bathroom
Lower Level: Bedroom with two sets of bunk beds (four twin beds total) - Game room with pool table, darts, and board games, a big screen television and seating area - Coffee maker and mini fridge station - Full bathroom
*Each level has its own full bathroom for added convenience and privacy.

This home is exceptionally well stocked for cooking and entertaining. You’ll find everything needed for baking, grilling, meal prep, and serving. Whether you’re preparing a full family dinner or enjoying a quiet morning coffee, the kitchen is equipped to make you feel right at home. High-speed fiber internet is provided through Skyline SkyBest, making it ideal for streaming or remote work.

Powder Horn Mountain is a private gated community offering a wide range of amenities for guests in a beautiful rural setting. Guests have free access to the seasonal community pool, typically open from late May through early September. Additional amenities include a fitness center and game room—both located in the clubhouse—a playground, paddle boats, a tennis/ pickle ball court, basketball goal, disc golf course, and miles of well-marked hiking trails.
Fishing is available in three community ponds as well as in Laurel Creek and Elk Creek. Fishing in either creek requires a valid North Carolina fishing license. The community also features a campground along Laurel Creek that is ideal for an evening fire, s’mores, or a game of horseshoes. With full-time maintenance staff, roads and access are well maintained year-round, including during winter months.

Dogs are welcome. The pet fee is $50 per pet and is charged separately after booking. Please note all pets at the time of reservation.
