Luxury Resort Home in the Yonahlossee Saddle Club, Spectacular Views, Hot Tub

This captivating Yonahlossee Resort home is the pinnacle of luxury!

Red Moose Inn, an incredible four bedroom home, is located in Yonahlossee Saddle Club, a private and gated community ideally located between the quaint mountain towns of Boone and Blowing Rock in western North Carolina. Nestled on a corner lot at 4000 elevation, this charming home provides guests with a 260-degree view of the spectacular Blue Ridge Mountains. The home was designed so that views of the surrounding mountains are visible from almost every room!

Enjoy the ambiance of the spacious Great Room with massive leather sofas and recliners. The hardwood floors with Oriental area rugs, cedar paneling, custom book shelves with a collection of bestselling novels, large screen TV with Dolby digital surround sound, antique barley twist tables and appointments add to the warmth of this comforting area. The focal point of this extraordinary room is the colossal gas log fireplace with stacked stones reaching gracefully to the ceiling. Huge windows let in the breathtaking views. One is destined to become fascinated with the taxidermy and Fracé prints adorning the walls.

The fully equipped gourmet kitchen boasts granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, cherry cabinets, TV, pantry closet, and a built-in china cabinet. This area overlooks the dining room with a large eat-at bar. The capacious dining table with comfortable chairs and the picturesque bay window make for a perfect setting for family meals.

From the dining room, one can access the large deck complete with stainless steel gas grill and outdoor dining furniture. The accompanying captain chairs will prove to be the perfect place for savoring mountain views and watching wildlife cross the beautifully landscaped yard.

One of the Master suites is located on the main level. Unwind in the privacy of this roomy space with a queen bed, your own TV, deck access, skylight for star gazing, and ceiling fan suspended from a vaulted ceiling. The full bath and walk-in closet help make for a luxurious stay.

Follow the wide stairs from the foyer to the loft overlooking the great room. A sleeper sofa, big chair with ottoman, and a game table make this the idyllic retreat for reading, playing cards or a board game, or just absorbing the mountain views.

From the loft, one can enter the second master bedroom suite. Guests lucky enough to stay in this room are treated to a comfortable queen bed, tremendous views, a skylight, ceiling fan suspended from a beamed and vaulted ceiling, and a TV/DVD player. The decorative tiled bath features an over-sized circulating spa tub, a glass enclosed walk-in shower, double vanities, and an immense closet.

Two guest bedrooms, located on the lower level, share a spacious full bath. Guest bedroom one offers a king sized bed, TV/DVD player, private vanity, ceiling fan, walk-in closet, and magnificent views of the mountains. The second guest bedroom also provides a showy view and is equipped with two twin beds, an antique dresser, and a large closet making this room perfect for family or friends.

Imagine relaxing in the outside hot tub watching the sun set over the Blue Ridge Mountains. Adjoining the walkway to the hot tub is a 2 car garage that doubles as an entertainment center featuring a bar, refrigerator, and a ping pong table.

Spectacular and Comforting

Spacious, spotless, meticulous care into every detail in every room of the home. Our reservation was last minute and the owners were so gracious, accommodating, and made sure their home was ready and spotless for our arrival. Communication was instant and consistent once we booked our stay. It is evident that the owners take pride in their home and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay and they provided plenty of recommendations for great restaurants, shopping, and other activities. Each bedroom is a suite with televisions and with bathrooms. So much space yet cozy, and comfortable home centrally located (Boone, Blowing Rock, Sugar Mountain, Linville, Banner Elk) in a quiet, gated community. Easy to get to. We saw many deer in the community, which we loved, so drive slow so you don't miss them or hit them. Homes in this community are not on top of one another. Mountain views from the balcony and multiple rooms in the home are incredible. I wish we had more time to spend here and I would definitely stay here again. I recommend Stonewalls in Banner Elk for a nice dinner. Many thanks and appreciation to the owners for going above and beyond!

Excellent property

The house was immaculately clean and everything was exactly as advertised. Communication with the owners was easy. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds and other furniture were very comfortable. The quiet, gated neighborhood was easy to access and just a few minutes outside of Boone. Watch out for deer on the roads, though! The owner mailed us a key and we mailed it back after our stay. That was simple enough, but a little nonstandard based on our experience at other properties. Also, the owner required that we purchase insurance through VRBO and also send them a $300 damage deposit check (refundable) after booking. I've never had to do either of those at other properties, but there were definitely a TON of breakable items in the house. I wouldn't recommend if you have young children. For our group of four adults, this was an excellent property. We would definitely stay there again.

Weekend in the High Country

Centrally located between Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk, this home has all the finest amenities and space for a great vacation. Each bedroom is a suite and enjoys privacy with access to an amazing den area with tongue-and-grove hardwood and a stacked stone fireplace. This is one of the finer homes in the mountains. We highly recommend.

Unpromised results

1st day we arrived there was a few inches of water in the bottom floor bath tub. The owner said to put some draino in it. The next day ALL the plumbing backed up in the house! We called the owner to be told that the house was inhabitable and we needed to call VRBO to find someone else to stay. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement! The owner tried everything they could, eventually by the end of the 2nd day a contractor came by and within an hour was able to find the problem. It was a frozen drain pipe. I would expect if we are paying this much money to rent a house the owner would stop.by the day before we arrived toake sure everything was working. This obviously didn't happen. Another frustrating issue was pulling up to the house and the driveway covered in snow when in fact it didn't even snow that day or subsequent days. I feel that this should of been clear upon our arrival. But our 2nd day was spent shoveling snow and dealing with plumbing issues! Not a fun vacation experience. The owner said that they would be giving us some sort of refund back from the Hot Tub and 1 nights stay due to the inconvenience we incured. To date we have not received a phone call back or seem anything refunded.

Beautiful property but not what I would call Pet Friendly

The house is beautiful and exactly as advertised. What we did not appreciate was the amount of paperwork and extra fees that got added onto the rental. A check for the dog, a check for a deposit, a check for the cleaning lady and numerous papers to sign and mail back. We would have expected a more technical and easier to complete process from Vrbo. The additional pet fees and rules for pets leave me to describe the property as pet tolerant, but not pet friendly. To give this rental 5 starts move your paperwork and key entry to electronic services and include pet fees in the rental price. Owners were pleasant to deal with, but not technically savy.

App State Fall Weekend

We confirmed this trip last minute. The owners were so accommodating and easy to work with. The home is beautiful, there is nothing that wasn’t there that we could have needed. The short distance to blowing rocks and Boone as well as all other attractions made it the perfect place for us. We will definitely return. Oh and we enjoyed seeing all the wildlife as well. Can’t wait til next time!

Great adult family property. Incredible views. Exceptional clean and very nice furnishings. Beds and couches very comfortable. Hot tub clean . Ping pong table in excellent condition. The house is full of taxidermy , 20 or so, which gave it lots of character but maybe not your style . It’s a great place to relax and have large family meals in the spacious dinning/kitchen .

Five stars BUT not the right place for our family.

I gave it five stars because the owners are very nice, love their home, and make every attempt to accommodate their guests. This may be the perfect home for you but you should know what you are signing up for before clicking the button. The rental process is involved. First, you get a call from the owner to verify your number of guests and the nature of your stay. After passing approval from the owner, you receive a 9-page contract and two documents to cover the rules and requirements. You are required to sign, initial, and mail that along with a deposit check back to the owners. You must also leave a check on the counter for their cleaning service. Once they receive your deposit check, they mail you a key. There are rules, instructions, cleaning requirements, noise warnings, labels, and check-out instructions taped up at multiple places around the house. I would imagine this home was built in the early 2000’s. I am guessing that they have made very few updates since then. The shower downstairs is one of those old fiberglass “all-in-one” installs. It’s the kind where everything is sloped so that water cannot pool anywhere; the soap, shampoo, and any other plastic item take a swift downward plunge onto the shower floor toward the drain. And none of the shower heads in the house work properly. They all need updating. The décor in this house was overwhelming to put it mildly. There was a bear or a moose on every table. There are antler lamps, antler chandeliers, and moose Knick Knacks EVERYWHERE. The tables, mantels, counters, bathrooms, walls, window seals, railings, doors, cupboards, and floors are all covered in bear-themed stuff. And there are strict instructions not to move anything. You can only have 8 people in this house, yet there are enough moose plates for 40 people! Moose and bear plates, cups, glasses, and serving dishes fill the cabinets. There is no place to set your purse down, or a surface on which to open a laptop. The counters are so full of gift shop fodder that you can’t even put a bag of groceries down without bumping into something. It’s like a crowded gift shop. Beyond the feeling that we were staying in our grandparent’s over crowded home with everything thing they ever owned, there were animal heads hanging everywhere. For our non-hunting, animal-loving family, it was horrifying. This is way beyond an iconic moose head over the mantel. There are dead raccoons, deer, wild boar, bears,

Mountainous views

Our two families enjoyed the views from the large back patio and property itself. There were also beautiful views from the windows in each room. Comfortable furniture and more amenities that we could have imagined. It felt as if we had a private mountain resort. Took a walk down the mountain and got to experience wildlife in their surroundings - deer, wild turkeys and rabbits. The owners were attentive ti any questions as well as providing specific expectations for renters. Home is convenient to town below. Would recommend and definitely return to this property when returning to Boone.

What makes this property unique

The views of the mountains are breath taking from practically every room in the house. Each season offers its own unique splendor. A convenient location that maintains a secluded mountain feel. It is great to sit on the deck and watch the deer and turkeys meander through the backyard.
