Very good location to Blowing Rock and Boone! Came primarily to go to Tweetsie Railroad which was a short drive away. The home was the perfect size for my family to stay for a weekend away and had everything we needed!

Beautiful views from deck but access to lower level was problematic due to narrow spiral staircase. It could’ve accessed from the outside more easily. Front yard needed landscape work and weeding which made it more difficult to access. The views were definitely the highlight of this home because interior space was dark & too small for a family gathering.

Overall rating 8.5. 1. Very Rustic inside - not very bright as pictures imply2. Spiral staircase down to master bedroom is not dog friendly. Have to walk outside, down a stairway and onto the deck to bedroom. Also spiral staircase very narrow to negotiate if you are a big person. Bushes/trees to downstairs deck need trimming.3. Light on outside stairway not working, door to upstairs deck needs handle lub/repair. 4. Game room excellent, pool table big plus. Bring your own DVD's, CD's, blue tooth speaker(Alexa, Sonos, etc)5. Shower was excellent and instant hot water6. Kitchen is rustic but well equipped for cooking7. Driveway is awkward to get into 8. Convenient to Blowing Rock main street - lovely town9. Excellent sun downs

Classic family retreat cabin!

Great place to stay with a superb view off the decks. Easy to get to Blowing Rock, Boone, and tons of hiking. Well appointed kitchen and did I mention the view? The spiral staircase going to the loft and basement is tight, so anyone with mobility issues might want to plan on only using the main level.

Great large group accommodation

On Any Sunday was cozy but large enough for our family of 9. The pool table was a hit and the sleeping arrangements accommodated our group. We loved the location and the views. This is an older home but the number of bathrooms are adequate and they were updated. The kitchen was well equipped.

Cabin stay

Close to Blowing Rock. Beautiful view. Comfortable cabin with lots of room. It rained while we were there so the pool table was a great way to kill time. Very clean but the water pressure for the showers was really low.

We enjoyed our winter trip to the mountains! Traveling with my husband, 2 kids and dog!

Our trip to hawksnest was cancelled due to high winds but we still managed to find some fun! House was great and we loved being able to bring our dog! It was very close to downtown blowing rock yet was in a quiet neighborhood. We had a surprisingly fun time at mystery hill and found enough snow on the sledding hill in Chetola for the kids to have some fun! The pool table and dart board were great for entertainment there at the house! We would stay here again!

Great Location

Solid. House could use a deep cleaning sometime but overall pretty good. basement baseboard heaters could not be turned off and was way too hot, and rental company is a little stingy on supplies. Fantastic location and stunning views. Recommended.

Great views!

Overall, the house was very comfortable and well equipped for 6 adults. The porch has amazing views. Downsides: The spiral staircase to get up and down is a little challenging for the knees and anyone over 6ft tall. The only negative would be that the kitchen light strobes when on the brightest setting, almost to the point of seizure inducing.

The view is amazing, the place is cozy

I really liked this place. The view is amazing, and the place is super cozy and cabiny. There are two sitting/hanging out areas, which is handy for a family. We played a lot of pool too. Heads up for potential renters, the only stairs in the place are spiral stairs -- which are fine by me, but might be tricky for some. (But there are two bedrooms on the main floor, so no stairs needed.) The kitchen was well equipped, and should you be in a game playing mood, there plenty to choose from.

Great views in a nice neighborhood

Fantastic views off the deck! Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans but the silverware drawer was difficult to open. Also had some difficulties navigating the spiral staircases and cooling the downstairs since the thermostat didn’t work on the bottom floor. The main floor was a nice temperature and easy to grill on the deck. We appreciated Blue Ridge mountain rentals restocking the propane tank on the grill when we mentioned it was running low. Overall it was a fun weekend in a lovely neighborhood.
