“ Such a great experience. The place was clean, inviting and true to the listing. The host (Mr Scott) is attentive and easy to communicate with. Definitely booking again in the future!”
We had a great stay for a long weekend. The house was very clean and well stocked with the basics… plenty of pots, pans, kitchen items, and dish soap, which made cooking easy. The location worked really well for us. It’s a short drive to both Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain, and there’s a great easy hike just five minutes down the road.We also enjoyed the property itself. The pond was fun to sit and watch… we saw quite a bit of wildlife. The front porch is beautiful and has a large table that was perfect for meals and coffee outside. The board games were a nice touch as well.Just a small FYI for future guests: there wasn’t any laundry detergent provided, so you may want to bring some if you plan to do laundry.Overall, a really relaxing and comfortable place to stay. We’d definitely come back.
We had a wonderful stay at this property! Beautiful place and the surrounding area is great. The owner Scott is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Will be staying there again.
It was an amazing weekend, Scott was in touch with me all the time, solving questions and doubts, the house is really nice, for sure we will book it again!
We had 8 ladies that stayed at this property. It is an absolutely wonderful home and very well stocked with all the kitchen essentials. Scott was very responsive to my emails and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend this property.
The host was very attentive. House was great! Close to everything. The grandkids loved skiing at Beech Mountain and tubing at Sugar Mountain. The only complaint we had was the thick ice surrounding the front steps and entrance to the house. It was treacherous and made it difficult to get our things in the house. We texted Scott. He answered quickly but we had to deal with it for 2 days before it finally melted. But all in all it was a fun time for all!!
This is a beautiful home. We enjoyed the property and the house has all accommodations you need. Gorgeous yard. Exceptional host. Will be booking this again in the future. Definitely a 10 out of 10!
Our host Scott was very nice communicated well through out our stay. Nice place very close to places you want to visit. Place was clean thank you Scott. Will visit again.
The kitchen was large and well equipped, except the coffee maker did not work. Separate dinning table area off the kitchen with large table, which worked well for our group.Comfortable sofas facing tv and fireplace. A soundbar would help on the tv. Owner communicated well with us.House was very clean and neat with comfortable beds.
Home was beautiful, easily accessible and convenient. Well furnished with a fully stocked kitchen. Owner was flexible and great to work with.

About the host

I grew up 35 miles from Blowing Rock and having A home here has always been a dream of mine.
Why they chose this property
I’ve always loved the mountains and I grew up hiking the Appalachian Trail on weekends. When I was younger I’d hike or ride my bike up the Blue Ridge Parkway across Grandfather Mountain to watch the Linn Cove Viaduct construction. One of the most beautiful places in the Mountains is Price Lake. When I was growing up, walking down Holloway Mountain Road was so different. There was a large Trading Post sitting where you now enter Boone Fort Camp and across the road was An old apple orchard. No matter where we searched for our home in the mountains, Holloway Mountain Rd was always where we wanted to be, easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway for biking, a couple minutes Over to Julian Price Park on summer nights to the Amphitheater to listen to local Blue Grass musicians. Main Street in Blowing Rock is about 10 miles away and so is Boone.
What makes this property unique
Our home offers a large open great room with a big modern kitchen with dining space for your entire family. We constantly search for the best And most comfortable linens and towels to help You sleep in luxury and wake up mountain fresh! There is a cool stream in the back that fills a large Pond. The one acre site is flat and easy to access with lots of room to park.
