Perfect Mountain Get Away...
This house was perfect, and even prettier in person. My parents in their 60's complimented the details and comfortable bedding, My spouse and I loved how spread out the space was, My teenager loved the downstairs retreat, my 10 year old loved ping pong and eating outside on the large covered porch, and our dog loved the pond and creek on the property. This house was the perfect cozy mountain get away, complete with a warm fireplace and light dusting of snow during our stay. Scott was a very communicable host, and we hope to stay again sometime!

New Year's Stay
We went with another family to enjoy New Year's in the Blowing Rock area. The check in process was fantastic and the property owner was amazing. Scott (the property owner) was supper attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The house was a perfect fit for our group of 8. We enjoyed New Year's Eve at the house and had a fantastic night of dinner and games. The kitchen is perfectly stocked with supplies. On New Year's day we had a fun time tubing at Hawksnest! We hope to visit this home again in the future!

Nice and Quiet Gateway
I spent a couple of days during Christmas vacation here. It's a beautiful house with character. Scott the owner of the house was quite responsive. Only concern was that the room on the basement was a bit colder on the first night. There is a radiator in there but it has to run for a long time before the room starts getting warmer. Overall we had a great time. There are lots of board games and even a ping pong table for a bit of indoor fun.

Owner great host
The location of the house was perfect. Beds were extremely comfortable and kitchen very well equipped. The owner of the property was very responsive to any questions. VRBO never responded to any questions so we were glad the property owner was very quick to reply.

Hiking Trip
We loved the location. It was close to Blowing Rock but remote and quiet. There was plenty of parking. We loved the living room area and the way the open floor layout allowed everyone to be together whether they were in the kitchen dining or living room areas. The gas fireplace was a big hit.

I grew up 35 miles from Blowing Rock and having
A home here has always been a dream of mine.

Why they chose this property

I’ve always loved the mountains and I grew up hiking the Appalachian Trail on weekends. When I was younger I’d hike or ride my bike up the Blue Ridge Parkway across Grandfather Mountain to watch the Linn Cove Viaduct construction. One of the most beautiful places in the Mountains is Price Lake. When I was growing up, walking down Holloway Mountain Road was so different. There was a large Trading Post sitting where you now enter Boone Fort Camp and across the road was
An old apple orchard.
No matter where we searched for our home in the mountains, Holloway Mountain Rd was always where we wanted to be, easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway for biking, a couple minutes
Over to Julian Price Park on summer nights to the Amphitheater to listen to local Blue Grass musicians. Main Street in Blowing Rock is about 10 miles away and so is Boone.

What makes this property unique

Our home offers a large open great room with a big modern kitchen with dining space for your entire family. We constantly search for the best
And most comfortable linens and towels to help
You sleep in luxury and wake up mountain fresh!
There is a cool stream in the back that fills a large
Pond. The one acre site is flat and easy to access with lots of room to park.
