The Belmont is a beautiful single level cottage situated in the village of Godmersham, just 8 miles from the historical City of Canterbury and 6 miles from Ashford with 40min fast trains into London St Pancreas.
On your doorstep is Godmersham Park, the inspiration for Jane Austin novels and depicted on the new bank of England £10 note.
The surrounding area of the North Kent Downs has great walks, and the neighbouring village of Wye has award winning pubs, and an array of different shops to meet your holiday needs.
The Belmont can accomodate 11 guests plus a baby.
There are 3 spacious bedrooms. One of the bedrooms can sleep a family with the advantage of a chairbed and travel cot. The study includes a sofabed and a large conservatory includes a daybed and trundle bed to accommodate further guests.
We are able to provide a travel cot and highchair. The study provides an area for working or reading with a large variety of books and sofa bed.
The conservatory is a light tranquil space idyllic for meditation and yoga, and includes a day bed with additional trundel bed.
The Kitchen/Dinner has the capacity to host large dinner parties. With a long table to seat 8 and a large breakfast bar to seat a further 4.
The dining room leads to a gorgeous, spacious garden with comfortable outdoor seating and logburner just outside the kitchen diner, study and conservatory.
Further into the garden there's a hammock to relax in the warmer months. Through the secret garden style leafy tunnel you walk out into a children's play area.
There is also a summer house, and a short climb up and you will be on the tree deck, a vantage point to sit and enjoy the beautiful views of the area of outstanding natural beauty.
