On the east side of Waneta Lake, this 3 season Lakehouse is centrally located in the center of the beautiful Finger Lakes Region. 50 feet of private lakefront with dock on a gently sloping deep lot. This quaint cottage has 3 bedrooms, (1-Queen, 1-Full, a semi-private room with twin bunkbeds) and a pull out queen sleeper sofa on the enclosed sunroom. 1 1/2 baths (shower only) with a large dining room and a spacious enclosed sunroom to enjoy every moment the lake has to offer. A smaller kitchen with plenty of storage, which is equipped with many necessary appliances to make your stay more enjoyable and less worrisome. Our well is new with a UV filter in use so there is no sulfur odor and the water is safe for drinking right out of the tap. Dine at one of the two tables that can seat 6 guests each with space to spare. After dinner, view the serene sunsets from your choice of 2 outdoor decks or the stone patio at the waters edge. Light a crackling campfire in the fire ring on the lower patio or if you aren't up to building a fire, turn on the propane fire pit on the lower deck and relax in your wicker swivel chair as you watch the beautiful sunset. Sit under the shaded trees slowly swaying in the hammock or bask in the sun on the stone patio. A large level yard, front and back, perfect for horseshoes, badminton and other yard games. Enjoy your choice of shows on one of our 3 flat screen TV's with numerous cable channels and wireless internet for your convenience. Waneta Lake is known to be good fishing for large mouth bass, pickerel, blue gill and more, but perhaps the most popular is the large muskee fish, which we hear jumping at night, however, we generally are only lucky enough to catch the small sunfish and perch. :) Sunset Serenity has a 50 foot dock to fish from although the waters are still a bit shallow for the "big" fish from the dock. We do have a row boat, as well as a canoe for three with stabilizers, and a tandem kayak for two that you are welcome to use. If you have your own boat, there is a launch at the south end of Waneta Lake which connects to Lamoka Lake, as well. There is room to dock at the lakehouse during your stay. Plenty of opportunity for boating, swimming, fishing, touring wineries/breweries, or being a spectator at Watkins Glen International, which was recently voted the best NASCAR track for the 2nd consecutive year. You will be within 30 minutes from the Finger Lakes Wine Trails, Watkins Glen State Park, Watkins Glen International Race Track , Glenn H. Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, the Corning Museum of Glass, Keuka Lake, Seneca Lake, Lamoka Lake and so much more upstate New York has to offer.
