No smoking.. The Stannington Pullman originated as a high-speed train, Mark 3 first class railway coach for East Midlands Railway. Positioned near the East Coast Mainline between Newcastle and Morpeth, it offers a prime train-watching location, some noise from passing trains might be experienced due to its proximity to the railway line. Originally known as Coach 41207, it served intercity routes to London and locally around the East Midlands. Its final journey under East Midlands Railways (EMR) was in December 2020, yet it still proudly displays the company’s colours
Impeccably refurbished, it retains the authentic first class ambiance, spanning 23m in length, providing ample space for enjoyment. Upon arrival, the sensation of a private station greets you. Overlooking a lovely lawned garden, a viewing terrace offers glimpses of passing trains. Inside, opulent luxury awaits. The living area boasts a plush velvet sofa and a high-back chair alongside modern amenities such as Smart TV and Wi-Fi. Dining occurs in an authentic leather EMR booth, adjacent to a well-equipped shaker-style kitchen. The sleeper cabins host a double bed in one and custom bunk beds in the other, including a smaller 2ft 6" bed beneath and a child-friendly upper bunk. A stylish shower room and separate toilet provide convenience.
Stannington Station’s strategic location allows easy access to the A1 road network. A short drive leads to Morpeth, offering an array of eateries and unique shops. The heritage coastline, featuring castles and the enchanting Lindisfarne Island, beckons. Alnwick’s historic castle and gardens captivate, while the Cheviots offer hiking opportunities. Cragside House, the pioneer of hydroelectricity, is a nearby attraction. For golf enthusiasts, a course is nearby, and the Morpeth train station facilitates trips to Newcastle, Edinburgh, or York. Newcastle charms with its architecture, culinary scene, and the Tyne Bridge. Local dining includes a farm shop and café, while Stannington village and Morpeth provide more options. Ideal for families or romantic getaways, the Stannington Pullman harmonizes countryside seclusion with access to beaches, historic towns, and Northumberland National Park. Beach 8 miles.

We had a long weekend on board The Stannington Pullman as a family myself, Husband and two children and WOW what a fantastic weekend we had! My youngest child is a huge lover so this was the perfect weekend for him he was in ore the whole weekend watching the trains go by. You can see how much time and effort has gone in to making this such a wonderful place for people to stay and thank you for giving us the opportunity to be able to stay somewhere like that. The attention to details on board the cabin made it all the more amazing!

Absolutely incredible, we loved it here and would go again in a heartbeat.
Absolutely incredible, we loved it here and would go again in a heartbeat. The train is Absolutely stunning and it has everything you could need. Its super cosy, theres a great big garden with lots of sitting areas, lots of games for outdoors. We went by train and didn't have a car, it was really easy to get to, 5 minutesin a taxi £10. There's a bus stop right outside which takes you into town, its every 2 hours which was fine for is. You could easily get a taxi though in the town, theres restaurants, a great farmers markets, a really nice park with a river wall and lots to see and dom definitelytry fortune cookies chinese across from the park. There's Plenty to see and do. I definitely recommend a visit to the farm shop up the road. Everything we got was absolutely delicious. 1000% would recommend this place to anyone and we will definitely visit again! Thank you so much!! Gary the owner was really nice and friendly too.
