Enjoyable family celebration
We stayed at Nepenthe as part of a family celebration with multiple significant birthdays and suited us completely
Comfortable,in the heart of the town with space for six adults a baby and a greyhound it served as a base for walks, run, pubs, restaurants and cafes.
We stayed for 2 nights and didn’t use our car which we were able to park on the street outside
If we had been longer in the area we would have travelled to other attractions elsewhere but we didn’t need to as the lovely town of Stow was on our doorstep
The cottage was well prepared for us with a few treats and a thoughtful present for our 1 year old grandson. It was a perfect break

March in the Cotswolds
My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nepenthe in Stow on the Wold. The cottage was wonderful - everything we needed, furnishings and cleanliness top notch. Loved the fireplace, and having the wood supplied made for lovely evenings by the fire. Highly recommend this property - access to village was brilliant too. Thank you. :)))

Cosy cottage
Just back from our stay at Nepenthe. The cottage was perfectly located for exploring Stow and the wider area.
We particularly loved that the cottage was kept warm and cosy throughout our stay. The beds were all really comfortable and the roll top bath a real treat!
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for home cooked meals.
The lounge with its comfy sofas, chairs and log burner was perfect for relaxing.
Highly recommended!

Christmas stay
A lovely Christmas stay at Nepenthe. Cottage was festively decorated and the log fire made it feel so cosy.
Location is brilliant, central to many pubs, walks and the main square.
The welcome gifts were very welcome.
Although listed as a 6 person cottage, we found it to be a little on the small side to comfortably accommodate 6 adults.
Whilst the cottage was clean in general, some areas could be focused on a little more.
It was absolutely perfect! Quaint, comfortable cottage right in the village. Traveling with two friends, each of us had our own bedroom & bathroom. Loved shopping in town, baked goods at Otis and Belle are a must.

The cottage was situated just below the town centre , which made easy access to all the amenities in the town .we had a storm on the Friday and the cottage was so very cosy and comfy . We are a family that cooks and the kitchen was very well equipped for us . Such a quirky cottage upstairs which brought a lot of joy to my four year old grandson. Well worth a stay

Perfect in every way
We had such a wonderful stay in Nepenthe. The cottage is beautifully maintained, well equipped and very clean. Great location - on the high street in Stow on the Wold - but no traffic noise at all. It’s the perfect place to be based for visiting other areas of The Cotswolds. Both the on site person and the owner were a joy to have met. ( albeit only via e mails).
Thanks Nepenthe, continue to enchant your guests, we’ll be back x

Perfect place for a visit to Stow.
This is a beautiful cottage which has three bathrooms and so is perfect for three couples. We were impressed by the cleanliness when we arrived and the quality of bedding and linen.
You are literally in the heart of Stow and surrounded by great independent shops and lovely restaurants. The kitchen is very well equipped and again extremely clean. Parking is on the road but we were able to find spaces for two cars reasonably close by. It’s free too.
We were touched that cake and balloons had been left for us to celebrate our mum’s birthday.
There were lots of DVDs to choose from. The TV is pretty small so five of us needed to get quite cosy to watch the film we chose which we didn’t mind! We needed to move chairs as there aren’t five sofa chairs.
Just one note - almost all properties of this price that we book now provide products such as shampoo and body wash. We hadn’t bought any with us and needed to go and buy stuff which wasn’t a problem but it would be useful to know in advance that they aren’t provided. Or maybe they could be? It’s always a nice extra touch.
But a great place to stay if you are visiting the beautiful Cotswolds.

Property was clean, warm (it was very cold outside!) and well thought out. Everything we needed was there with a cosy atmosphere, whilst being plenty big enough for 6 and a small dog. Location is great for exploring Stow. Recommended.

Wonderfully Cotswolds
Loved the place. Happily funky, with everything needed for comfort and convenience. Tasha responded promptly when we arrived to no water; turned out the utility had broken a pipe and much of town was without. You're right in the center of Stow on the Wold, a lovely town. As others have said, the street is busy, but we had no trouble parking. Highly recommended.

Thank you Andrew for your review of Nepenthe. We are delighted that you found the property to be lovely, well equipped and comfortable. Unfortunately a farmer in Lower Swell had punctured the water mains which left Stow without water for a number of hours. We do hope that you will be back to stay again soon!

Generally very good
A good size property and the kitchen has everything you could need for cooking plus a pod coffee machine which they provided a pack of pods for. Rooms all have their own bathroom and they were all in pristine condition and very clean. The sitting area was a bit tight to comfortably sit 6.
The location means you can easily wander around Stow and the only negative with that is some road noise but that does die down at night. Parking was sometimes tricky but free. The mattresses were not great but otherwise we found it to be a decent place to stay.
