Rosary Cottage is a lovely home in the center of Chipping Campden. Beautifully decorated with all the Cotswold charm one could want! Our host, Paul, was so helpful before and during our stay. A wonderful spot to enjoy so many nearby towns and historic sites. We enjoyed several hiking trails along the Cotswold Way that originated steps from the cottage.
Very well equipped cottage in a perfect location to explore the Cotswolds. Very comfortable, a real home from home. Lovely walks and so many places to eat and drink. Would thoroughly recommend.
Stayed in the Rosary Cottage for three nights and loved it. The Cottage is right in the center of Chipping Campden. It is a wonderful example of a very old and interesting home that is comfortable and just a pleasure for those interested in history.
The house was perfect for our family. All of the extra bathrooms were a bonus. Paul was so responsive and the place was very clean. We absolutely loved our stay.
Rosary Cottage couldn’t be more convenient for a cosy base from which to explore the Cotswolds. The owner Paul was very accommodating and quick to respond to any queries, and the quirks of the cottage (sloping floors, tricky stairs and low ceilings) only added to its charm.
I call it an experience because it truly was. The rental is very old and there was plenty of parking on the street. We had a lot of options as far as restaurants and bars that were within walking distance. There’s also a small grocery store called the Coop nearby. The rental is unique and I can see where some people would take issue with that. It has low ceilings in some areas but I never had an issue and I’m 6’3. I highly recommend!
Right on high street. Easy access to all the shops and pubs. Gorgeous cottage. My mother particularly loved the window seat in the living room. We had a wonderful, relaxing time.
Can't say enough great things about the cottage. Charming and quirky whilst having everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We loved the well-equipped kitchen, the cozy sitting room. Bedrooms and bathrooms were super comfortable. Location was perfect for a wonderful weekend in Chipping Camden. Will definitely return.
We loved every minute of our stay in Chipping Camden. Paul was a very responsive host and had great insight. The cottage is everything we wanted our Cotswold cottage to be and more. The location was convenient to everything. Shops across the street and great restaurants about a minute walk. Was sorry to leave!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Rosary Cottage in the heart of Chipping Campden. It is a historic property with charm, and it is very centrally located only steps away from pubs, groceries, cafes and restaurants. Communication with the host was easy and check-in was simple. There was parking available nearby, often right outside the door. We would recommend it.
Dream location in this unique property. Luxury bedding, spotlessly clean, easy checkin. A once in a lifetime chance to stay in this piece of Chipping Campden history, the low beams and crooked floors just add to the charm! Extremely well equipped kitchen, lots of room for 6 of us and spoilt for choice for dining options around us. Perfect base to explore and lovely and warm to return to. Thanks Paul!
Loved our stay in this 16th century cottage. It was definitely a different and quirky place to stay, right in the middle of town. So centrally located that we could walk to any where within the village. The cottage had it’s own charm with floors that slanted and thankfully the old stairs had been closed off! NOT for anyone that is disabled…but it’s character suited us and we were just thankful there had been upgrades to the kitchen and bathrooms!
This historic property worked perfectly for my husband and I to stay three weeks without a vehicle. Abundant pubs and restaurants within walking and hiking distance. Ample selection of fresh food to have two meals/day at the cottage plus an occasional dinner. Our host and staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Several worship options plus we attended three of the Campden Music Festival events. Daughter and 17 year old son stayed a couple days too. Plenty of room for everyone. Sad to leave.
I booked this cottage a year ago as my aunty lives in chipping campden and planned a weekend there for her 80th birthday. I wanted somewhere for myself, my husband, 3 children aged between 17 & 28 and my 28 yr old son's girlfriend. I just looked at the fact it could fit all 6 of us and was centrally located but didn't really look at anything else. I was so surprised that the cottage was so big, it has 3 bathrooms which was fab. A lovely large kitchen, cosy lounge but also an extra little snug. Right in the heart of Chipping Campden there are 3/4 pubs close by and a couple of fab restaurants. I would definitely highly recommend this property. There is also alot of off street parking close by.
Rosary Cottage is absolute perfection. Charming, historic property that retains its architectural integrity. Ideally situated in the heart of lovely Chipping Campden, which thoroughly beguiled us. I wish we had simply spent our entire Cotswold leg of our UK visit at The Rosary. We regretted leaving it. Wonderful bakery just below the cottage, and an outstanding food shop, Fillet & Bone, with superb local produce and absolutely delectable meats and fish, which we relished preparing and eating in the cottage. I feel certain The Rosary will become our Cotswolds home base going forward. Paul, the owner proved very communicative and always responsive. Really cannot say enough about our experience. Staying in The Rosary was a high point of our 17-day UK trip.
I first stayed at Rosary Cottage 9 years ago and looked no further in seeking a vacation rental for my return visit to Chipping Campden. I was not disappointed. Great location, historic atmosphere, properly equipped. Yes, the stairs are steep and the floor uneven, but that's all part of its charm. I would return again.

Two weeks in the house which felt like home - it had everything you could want, and was right in the center of the most beautiful Costwold town. Chipping Camden has interesting history, is big enough to give variety, but small enough that you can walk everywhere. I would recommend this house unconditionally. The owner was very easy and accomodating, and quick to respond.
We have stayed here a few times now. It is an excellent cottage for a group of friends. Bedrooms and bathrooms are excellent. Lots of spaces to sit comfortably in the two sitting rooms. Kitchen is big and the table is a joy to sit round for a meal and lots of talking. Fantastic location. You can walk everywhere and their are plenty of places to choose from to get something to eat and have a drink.
A lovely quaint cottage central to the village with lots to do in the area
We stayed at Rosary Cottage for a family get-together and the property is in a great part of the village, and has a wonderful character mixing old with new. It is well stocked and was warm and cosy for February. There is so much to do locally and it was a great place to base ourselves. Would highly recommend.
Paul, the owner, was most responsive and helpful giving us recommendations on restaurants, things to see etc. The best host I have ever dealt with. The cottage was amazing, all the modern luxuries with old world charm. Impeccably clean. Perfect in town location. Can't say enough good things about Rosary Cottage and the host. We loved Chipping Campden!
We loved our stay in Rosary Cottage! Inside and out, it was a lovely place to come back to after exploring the beautiful Cotswolds. We hope to visit again!
