My sisters and I had a girls' getaway to the Cotswolds after spending a few days in London. From the moment we walked in, we LOVED this cottage. It was charming, clean, and even better than the pictures. The location was amazing too. Broadway was a beautiful 10-minute walk. I would definitely stay here again.
The cottage is beautiful, both inside and out! Very accessible to Broadway High Street with shops and restaurants. Communication with Elizabeth was perfect and quick. Would definitely stay here again if visiting the Cotswolds!
The cottage was stunning and everything we expected. Perfect location for nearby villages and the scenery from the cottage was beautiful as we had baby lambs which made it more special. The only one thing I would add although we were aware before our stay is the double bedrooms maybe would be more accommodating if one of the rooms had 2 single beds but apart from that I hope to definitely stay here again and will be promoting this property very strongly.Ali

Dear Ali, thank you for choosing Broadway Boutique Cottage. Wishing you well. Elizabeth
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. Great proximity to the village and many other great villages and regional highlights. The cottage had plenty of room for our family of 5 and just the right amount of everything. Everything was very clean and organized. The back yard is great too as is the view of the pasture and sheep from the front. Would definitely stay there again!
We loved our stay here. The cottage was lovely, comfortable and quiet. We'd wake up in the morning to the sound of a horse slowly walking up the road. Kind of perfect for a stay in the Cotswolds. And we so enjoyed being able to walk past the pastures on our way into town. All in all- a perfect stay.

Unspoiled Cotswolds
This cottage is very beautifully appointed and decorated, and perfectly located for walking to town (not to mention walking to Buckland Manor and to Snowshill), and to touring famous Cotswold villages such as Chipping Campden and Stow in the Wold. A marvelous place!

I'm delighted that you had a memorable experience John. All the best Elizabeth
My family came all the way from Dallas to stay at this lovely cottage. Our trip revolved around the schedule of when this cottage was available. I am a big fan of Agatha Christie and it has been my dream to stay in a thatched-roof cottage and this one gave all of us the best experience. Everything was available for us and the owner thought of every convenient and necessary factor to make it easy and enjoyable for us. Thank you! We wish we could have stayed longer.

Agatha Christie is one of my favourites too. Perhaps you might care to read Rebecca Tope's murder mystery series that are based in The Cotswolds, very close to the cottage. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed your time here.
Thank you and bye for now

Beautiful, picturesque and fabulous location.
I stayed at 1 Pye Corner Cottage with a group of school friends (we are in our 50's now). It couldn't have been more perfect. The cottage is beautifully located with stunning views all around. The location is perfect - only a 10 minute walk into Broadway. The interior of the cottage has been done very tastefully and comfortably. It was spotless and very well maintained. Broadway itself is stunning and we found plenty to do in the way of shopping and eating! Great places to eat are The Swan pub and Broadway Hotel. We would definitely stay there again.
The listing was accurate, it was very easy to book, and communicate with owner. The beds were comfortable but somewhat soft and the kitchen was completely stocked. The town and the footpaths were so beautiful. The only complaint I have is about the pre cleaning. If I was the owner I would be disappointed in my cleaning company. I wish I could have stayed longer!!!

Hi Michelle
Thanks for your review. I know you asked to stay longer after you had already booked but your extra date requests were already booked by someone else. So glad you loved it that much. Enjoy the rest of your UK holiday.

Idyllic location
Lovely place for a family Christmas. If we stayed in Broadway at other times of year we would probably eat out mostly, but if you want to do much cooking there, take your own roasting dishes etc. It didn’t matter to us, but for info, there is no microwave oven.
Definitely take torches (we have them on our phones, but at this time of year you need them for children) for evening walks home from the village. Also take your own shower gel, shampoo etc as it’s a bit random what’s there. On balance, excellent rental property in a really beautiful village full of lovely shops, eateries & galleries. We will certainly consider returning.

Hi Tracey glad you agree that the property is excellent.
I'm baffled by your message and therefore need to correct you on three errors you have made to ensure an accurate description of the property. I provide four roasting trays. Two are ceramic dishes, one from the UK and the other from Portugal. I also provide a versatile freezer to oven tray that is clear in colour. This is in addition to the tray in the oven. Is four not enough? Both bathrooms have handwash and also body wash. We also provide a torch. Yes, the countryside is dark at night, it is not lit by skyscrapers and traffic.
Best regards
Elizabeth

Charming Cottage with Authentic Experience
As stated, this is a 400 year old cottage. The walk into town is short and enjoyable. We slept with the windows open and awoke to the sounds of our neighbor sheep. The house is complete with character and very well decorated.
As with any older home, there are a few issues. The wet room in the master bedroom was musty, so we simply all shared the main upstairs shower. The half bath on the 1st floor was fine. I have a mold allergy and had no problems in the house. One of our kids was unsettled by the presence of cobwebs, but I felt that the character made our stay worth any of this.

Liked: Cleanliness, communication
Great location. Cute cottage. Bathroom situations are somewhat unusual… to use one, you would have to remove everything out or risk it getting everything (tp, sink, toilet) wet (shower and toilet in same space). The other bathroom has a weird shower door that if you don’t get it in the right spot, you flood the floor with water. Washing machine didn’t work. No paper products (kitchen towel, etc.) provided. No cleaning agent for washing dishes by hand or in the dishwasher. Washing machine didn’t work. But very clean. Walkable to Broadway for fit folks. Garden needs some attention but cute. Tight parking but better than no parking. Very good but not exceptional.

Beautiful Cottage
Well, what a beautiful cottage 1 Pye Corner is! Beautifully decorated and appointed – a real treat to stay in such a quintessential English country cottage in the Cotswolds. Perfectly situated to explore such gems as Stowe, Bourton on the Water, and Burford.
Our party of four ate at The Swan in Broadway, which was lovely. (Please note that even in early March we had great difficulty getting a table anywhere in Broadway on the Saturday night, so I would advise you pre-book.)
I only have 2 very minor quibbles. Firstly, the cottage is further out of the village than the description led us to understand (possibly just my misinterpretation). We thought we could wander in, and you probably could in the summer months, but it is an un-lit road, only partially with a footpath and fairly fast, though infrequent, traffic. We did order a cab, but again had trouble booking one over the weekend. The only other minor problem was the consistency of the water temperature when taking a shower. It seemed to change from stone cold to scalding frequently. It might be better to schedule your showers amongst your party, as I think that was probably the problem. Neither of these negative points were a major problem (just think a review should be honest), and I would certainly stay here again.
Lovely cottage. Lovely location. Great choice.

Hi Catherine
I really appreciate you taking the time to write a review, thank you and it's great to hear that you had such a lovely time at Broadway Boutique Cottage (1 Pye Corner Cottage).
The cottage is 0.4 miles to the Swan Inn in Broadway (my favourite pub in Broadway). Google Maps state that this takes 8 minutes to walk. There is a pub even closer called The Crown and Trumpet which is 0.3 miles and takes a 6 minute walk. We do offer guests a torch for walking back from the pub at night.
Broadway is a popular and thriving village so yes bookings are advised on a weekend. I will update the welcome email I send to guests to reflect this.
I shall look into the hot/cold water pressure.
Thank you and kind regards
Elizabeth
Beautiful cottage. Simply loved our week there. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Lovely time spent catching up with the family, enjoyed a great walk up to Broadway Tower in glorious sunshine the autumn colours 🍂 were spectacular! Fantastic evening at The Swan, food, wine and company 😊

Autumn is a wonderful season here. Glad you had a good time.
We had a great time at the property. Easy check-in and great communication with the host. The property was really lovely. Spotlessly clean. The three bedrooms were all very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with all necessary amenities and more. We had our breakfast out in the back interrupted only by the bleating of the sheep. The location was awesome - easy to walk into town yet quiet in the evening. One of the best properties we've stayed in and we've stayed in a lot. 5 stars!

Beautiful well equipped cottage. We had a a wonderful stay.
The cottage was beautiful and we had a wonderful stay. We were 6 adults - plenty of space to cook eat and relax. So many touches and useful items to make our stay special. We parked 3 cars and then walked into Broadway just a 5-10 minute walk. Great communication and would like to thank Elizabeth for being so accommodating.
