Beautiful 6 bedroom detached property, a flat 5 minute stroll to centre of town
Nethercote House is a wonderful 6 bedroom traditional Cotswold stone property dating back to approximately 1780 that offers all the conveniences of modern day living following an extensive renovation. To the front of the property is a traditional Cotswold stone wall with a path leading to both the front door and the door to the utility room. To the side is a gravelled driveway for parking up to 4 cars and solid wooden gates with a security access lock. Behind the gates is a further parking area for an additional 2 cars if required. There is a good size garden enclosed by a stone wall to three sides which is mainly laid to lawn and well stocked borders. A large patio area can be accessed directly via French doors from the kitchen/diner and has a large table and chairs for 8 people and a picnic bench ensuring plenty of outdoor seating. During the summer months a barbecue is available. The games room is located in a wooden clad building in the rear garden and has a table tennis table and table football.

Absolutely beautiful house, environment, location and process. Easy to tidy and everything we needed. Host was excellent. OK, cotswolds recycling process was different to my 4 plastic bins, but we got there..
We booked for a birthday getaway with family and had a great time! The welcome basket was a lovely touch and the size of the house is perfect for the amount of people we booked for.The location is perfect - out of the way but less than a 10 minute walk into the village. The only thing I’d change is the carpet in the bathrooms as they’re stained from getting wet and have a bit of a funny smell. We parked 4 cars on the drive comfortably but wouldn’t say you’d get 6 like mentioned in the listing.Would recommend staying here if you’re a big group wanting to stay in Bourton on the Water! Thank you Michael for having us

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
We parked 3 largish cars comfortably. Overall cleanliness was fine. Kitchen was very well equipped with more than enough china, cutlery & utensils. However it needed a bit of a "deep clean" - drawers and shelves etc. Recycling was a struggle but probably down to council providing more/bigger bins. Location is excellent with everything on doorstep
The welcome basket was lovely, thank you very much. Also my communication with the owner was very positive. Checking in was simple and clear. Location is excellent. We did have a lovely time.We would have liked to have the following things;A coffee machine or some way of making proper coffee, hence we bought a Cafetiere and left it at the house. More firewood would have been lovely. Also a few dishwasher tablets would be helpful.
The house was perfect for our group size Clean comfy well equipped Great communication prior to arrival and with a problem during the stay Best ever welcome hamper gratefully received Better directions would have been appreciated as very hard to find Also key box location was not very obvious but small recommendations only!
Communication with the host was very easy. House was great for our party of 11 (3 generations) with plenty of room to both be together, but also find space. Excellent location with a short stroll into Bourton On The Water- so no need to use the cars. Room for 6 cars to park overall a good experience.
Very surprised to find the bottom left oven door did not shut meaning we had only one small oven to cook for 11 -It was broken when we arrived. Caused problems. There was mouldy food in a fridge and also fruit that did not belong to us.There were only 2 sets of keys not 3 as expected.I would have expected the above to have been sorted by the person that okayed the house. They left us a loaf of bread which had a 80p reduced sticker on and with a use by date of 25th March.
Nethercote, is a great house and location, for a family get together. We were from UK and Australia, everyone was comfortable and liked the house, and it's facilities very much.
A very large lovely old property . Very well equipped. We had a slight problem with a leak in one of the showers but managed to contact the agent .Otherwise a great stay
Stunning property, in a wonderful location.Very thoughtful basket of provisions which was very much appreciated.Clean, well maintained house with plenty of equipment in a peaceful location with lovely sun trap garden.Easy short walk into town centre and property manager very helpful when we got a little lost. All in all a lovely time was had by everyone and would thoroughly recommend this property.
The house was perfect for our needs. Close to the village. Warm and welcoming. Two upstairs showers did not drain properly. One kept water in the tray for more than 24 hours. Other than that perfect.
Our group of four ladies loved this property. We had room to spread out comfortably. The host left the kitchen well provisioned which we appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.
Everything we needed was there a lovely home , even a full basket of groceries lovely and clean , well organised , lovely garden and a games room, and BBQ will be booking again
