New Years Eve weekend away
Three families stayed here over the New Year’s Eve weekend and we all had a lovely stay. The cottage was perfect for our needs, in a lovely location and warm and cosy. It was well equipped and very comfortable. Would consider returning and definitely highly recommend.

Beautiful Building
This was a beautiful property and a very worthy cause. But some essentials information was incorrect. There are no hair dryers. You cant play pool as the cue has no tip. There is a limited selection of kitchen knives. No carving knife so dont do a roast. No veg knife. We had to cut things with the cheese knives and bread knife. There is no tablespoons to serve with. No gravy boats for sauses. No meat platter to serve a roast on. No platters to serve a buffet on. A table cloth would be nice. We were told that the house would be fully trimmed up for christmas but it was a bit of a let down as they were a bit sparse and the tree had no lights. The disabled suite on the ground floor has a door knob which is difficult to turn, my disabled daughter got stuck in there as she couldnt turn the knob. The property itself is beautiful even with the above problems. But I think for over 2½K for 3 night we expected a bit of a higher standard.

Fab return visit
Another brilliant stay, such a home from home and perfect for a large early Christmas get together with friends. Plenty of space for adults and children to relax and play, warm and cosy, and really friendly helpful communications. Thank you for having us back for another year!

Windmill Farm is owned by the Adventure Plus Youth Development Charity.

Adventure Plus has been at the forefront of providing quality adventure activities to children for 30 years. Founded in 1990 by Jon and Tessa Cox, Adventure Plus provides adventure holidays, school residentials, DofE expeditions, Team Building and a host of other exciting events to inspire and encourage young people (and adults) in Oxfordshire and across the UK. If you want to read more about us as a charity pick up a copy of Jon Cox book Life to the Max.
Adventure Plus exists to help children and young people reach their potential and make positive life choices, whilst giving them a great time in the great outdoors!

We want to see young people embrace the adventures that life offers. We are passionate about helping them get active, push themselves and learn more about who they are and what they are capable of – all within the bigger perspective of the Christian faith, which is at the heart of what we do.

We do this primarily through:
Group Adventures Providing adventure activities for schools, youth groups, DofE, church weekends away and family groups.
Adventure Impact Our specialist unit working with children and young people, aged 8-21, who are vulnerable, disadvantaged or who have additional needs.
Total Adventure Holidays Residential holidays and day camps for individuals and groups of friends.
GAP: Adventure training and discipleship gap year and internship programmes.
Adventure Club, Climbing club and Canoe Club enable local young people to be involved on a weekly basis.
Our aim through all of our programmes is to leave the young people wanting more, so that they keep returning to A+ and can benefit from the long-term impact as relationships develop over years, and we are able to provide mentoring and encouragement right through their teens and into early adulthood.

Why they chose this property

The house location is central to an incredible amount of amazing sites to see, and things to do. The rural, farm-style feel is a great compliment to the comforts of the house itself.

What makes this property unique

All income generated through the Lower Farm house bookings, is used to further enhance the reach of Adventure Plus. It is great to know that the cost of your rural escape is tremendously benefitting social development amongst our youth.
