Beautiful Cotswolds farm house with period features and a beautiful garden.

Lower Farm House is located in rural West Oxfordshire, 90 minutes drive from London. It is quiet, and the night sky is incredible, with majestic sunsets.
The house is very comfortable, recently renovated, with five bedrooms sleeping up to fourteen people.
First floor two large ensuite double bedrooms, one with a sofa bed, two twin rooms with wash hand basins & a large shared bathroom with shower and bath.
Ground floor has an easy access bedroom with two single, one double bed, and space for a fold-up bed, with adjacent walk-in shower.
A fully equipped cottage kitchen.
A large dining room with access to the beautiful private garden.
An elegant farmhouse sitting room with an open fire.
We are also able to offer a variety of on site activities including Archery, Fencing, Archery Tag and Climbing, biking, or off site we can offer Canoeing, Kayaking and SUP
The Lower Farm House is owned by a charity, so your stay will help contribute to transforming the lives of young people as all profits go towards youth development work.

Family weekend

Beautiful house. Lovely location. Perfect place for large family gathering. Little ones loved the garden. We enjoyed the bbq, and had a lovely lunch in the plough in Alverston, just up the road. Lovely walks with the dog near by. Sad to come home.

Cycling Weekend

Stayed with a group of cycling friends, some from up north, some from London. This is a great location as it sits nicely in the middle. Also the local countryside makes for excellent cycling with lovely little villages and great pubs. The house was perfect for us and We had a fantastic weekend.

Fab return visit

Another brilliant stay, such a home from home and perfect for a large early Christmas get together with friends. Plenty of space for adults and children to relax and play, warm and cosy, and really friendly helpful communications. Thank you for having us back for another year!

Weekend with friends in Cotswolds

Our host was responsive to any questions I had before we got there. Jurie met us at check in and was very friendly and helpful. The house was clean, garden lovely and had a wonderful bbq with the bbq they had on site. Will definitely try and stay again in future!

All round excellent!

We stayed for 2 nights for a special birthday. The communications beforehand were informative and friendly. When we arrived the welcome was warm and the property was lovely. It was exactly as described as well as being clean and well equipped. The outside space was also excellent with a good sized, enclosed and safe garden. We also asked for a dinner on one night and a full English breakfast on our last morning. Both meals were excellent, well cooked with generous portions. I highly recommend this property for a short or long stay at any time of year.

Gorgeous property - great for groups

We spent a weekend at lower farm with a group of friends. The bedrooms were well laid out and there was plenty of room for everyone. The children loved the air hockey table and the adults loved being able to socialise around the huge dining room table. It was such a lovely house to stay in, I would recommend it to everyone. The only sad thing is that we only got to stay there two nights. It was so lovely I didn’t want to leave

Amazing house!

We hired this property for my mums surprise 60th! Everything was perfect, from the first messages with the owner to him meeting us at the house the service was amazing! All rooms were supplied with fresh bedding towels and shower gels, plenty of tea coffee sugar toilet rolls. This house was perfectly suited for all ages we had staying, the grounds were great for children playing and adults relaxing! We planned our weekend around staying in the house but I would defiantly come back to this property and explore more, there’s a couple of pubs just a 10minute walk which we didn’t manage to fit in but looked beautiful when we drove past! Thanks Jurie for all messages back and forth and making us all feel super welcome.

Great place for friends reunion

Property was great with good space for 14 adults. Garden just perfect for some outdoor games & chill time. Good to have social space in living room & sofas in the dining room too. The sofa bed was really good quality - not always the case, so well appreciated. Clear instructions & helpful check in. Only small items for suggested improvement : a little extra cutlery/crockery and perhaps time for a new oven ? It really did take an hour to heat up (which we were advised about) & cooking took a lot longer! Overall this was a super super place, hence the high rating! Thank you for making some old friends very happy !!

The house was all set up and clean on arrival. 5 excellent bedrooms and sufficient toilet and shower facilities. Ideal for group gatherings. Excellent lounge seating, kitchen and dining table to easily sit all 10 of us. Lots of local walks and pubs available. A great find!

We had a wonderful family weekend at this fabulous property! Plenty of room for everyone and the sunny, south facing garden was just beautiful! The children (9, 10 and 13) had loads of room to run around and play. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with everything you need to cater for a large family gathering, plenty of dinnerware, cutlery, cooking equipment etc. and a massive dining table that can easily seat 12 or more people. The check in was smooth, all done through email instruction and there is loads of parking right outside. Jenni was great at answering my questions and accommodating my early/late check in/out requests. We're already looking at the availability to visit again as soon as possible! Highly recommend.

This is a great property for a large family get together. It is comfy but not luxurious which was just right for a family with 5 grandchildren 6 yrs and under. Great secure garden space for the the children to run around in. The kitchen was well equipped with enough of everything for 14 people. The table in the dining room is large enough to get that number of people around it too. We had a wonderful time celebrating a family birthday there.
