About the host
Hosted by Heidi Laughton-Hill

I'm your host Heidi. I am 5th generation to own the property. It was the original farm house which supported Spratts Farm, where we live today.
Prior to setting up the property as a holiday home, I worked in Publishing.
I've been hosting holiday makers for the past 8 years at Hollyhock House, and have superhost status with other platforms.
I have an arts/textiles background, which I hope shows as to how I've decorated the house. I am a keen equestrian. We have 3 dogs, and a couple of horses.

Why they chose this property
If you are looking for country cottage luxury, then this is the holiday cottage for you.
It is a period property that is been sympathetically restored in 2016. The result is a high-end quality property, set in a peaceful and secluded spot at the edge of the village.
All mod cons, you would expect at home. Most rooms have tea/coffee making facilities and the bathrooms have supplies of regular forgotten items, i.e spare toothbrush, cotton pads, needle and threads.
The lower lawn is vast and ideal for playing football. The house has a croquette set as well as other forms of garden games.
The house sleeps 10 people comfortably in twin, a pair of double beds, a king, and a super king size bed in the master bedroom.
In addition to this we have a double sofa bed in the snug, and we have 2 single metal framed pop up folding beds. Again this is aimed at teens/youth.
Plus a pair of travel cots, and high chairs. Please ask about this at the time of booking.
The house is great for families wishing to explore the area. Ideal if you are frequenting one of the many Blenheim Palace events, or Oxford, or else where in and around the Cotswolds. If you are into walking or hiking the Oxfordshire way is on the doorstep. We are minutes away from Cornbury estate and 20mins from Soho Farmhouse.
2 night minimum stay.
House trained friendly dogs are welcome. (Sorry No Newfoundland/Husky type dogs).
Sorry no hot tubs!
3-5nights min stay over Christmas and New year.

What makes this property unique
Within the grounds there is an BBQ Arctic Cabin, where you and your guests can BBQ your supper and while away the day. You can feast your evening away, warmed by the flames from centre piece, and when you are weary you can snooze on luxurious reindeer skins. When done, close the door and pootle back to the house for a nightcap.
The back patio is a sheltered sun trap. Ideal for sitting outside on a summers evening and star gazing. We have an outdoor seating area with a giant garden umbrella, as well as a teak dinning table. Throughout the garden we have a pair of sun loungers and benches.
Our favourite feature of the property is a new large oak frame and glass dining room, (seats 12) allowing panoramic views of the lower lawn. As well as decking and chairs around the outside of the dinning room.
