I stayed here for 2 nights with my two sisters. It is a lovely property, newly fitted out with everything we needed. It is comfortable and lovely and warm. Only downside was no internet. There is wifi there but during our stay we never got an internet connection. If internet is not an issue for you I would highly recommend this property.

We had an excellent stay, property was very cosy and spotlessly clean.
We had a few small issues:
Pillows in all rooms were quite flat and a little uncomfortable.
Internet was not working, even after a reboot.
Could not locate the oven and hob instructions (could be added to the welcome pack?)
We loved the property! So nice for our teens to each have a room at such a reasonable price.
Our only challenge was working the appliances as we couldn’t find the instructions that were referenced on the welcome book, but we managed by looking up the user manuals online.
We would definitely recommend and stay there again as we have relatives in the area and visit often.
This is a lovely house in the country side. The backyard looks out into a field with wildlife and is peaceful and relaxing. There are two bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs. A great kitchen with everything you need. The pub is called The Plough and it has the best local people who work there. It was so fun to relax with good food and drinks after a day of fun and then just walk back to the house. We enjoyed our stay!

Lovely home with an amazing countryside view.
Wonderful people and a great pub next door. It was quite and private. Amazing view out the back with visits from wildlife. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals.

The tiny village in Essex was the site that inspired Ian Fleming's James Bond books. Birdbrook is a picturesque little village in north Essex, within the district of Braintree, that is said to have inspired the hugely successful novelist's spy books. The name given to this parish is supposed o have been derived from the brook which passes over part of it. Birdbrook is surrounded by the villages of Ahen, Ridgwell, Stambourne, and the more well-known Steeple Bumpstead. Moyns Park, a Grade I listed Elizabethan country house is in the village, is said to have been when Ian Fleming took inspiration and put the finishing touches to his fifth James Bond noval From Russia with Love.
