Beautiful stone cottage on the stunning Northumbrian coast.
Dancing Puffins: Situated on the heritage Northumbrian coast and only 5 mins to nearest beach. This is a traditional cottage on a family farm, newly renovated throughout and with extensive views to the sea, rolling countryside and Cheviot hills. Many beautiful villages nearby including Bamburgh and Seahouses, with great restaurants, sites to see and boat trips to take! Also close to historic Lindisfarne, known locally as Holy Island.Traditional, sandstone farm cottage with a newly renovated, modern interior throughout. Downstairs is the large light & bright living room with its cosy log-burning fire and large picture window with country views. Also downstairs are the kitchen including all the must-have kit, and one of the all-new bathrooms with large power shower. Upstairs are the two bedrooms, both made up with high-quality linen and new comfy beds. The large master bedroom offers a king size bed, while the second bedroom can be made up as a twin or king room as you prefer (please request in advance for king). Also upstairs is the spacious master bathroom, including power shower, bath and large sink with vanity unit. Views of the sea from every room, as well as the rolling fields, Cheviot Hills, and renowned local landmarks such as Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island.
Practical mod-cons included (free Wifi, Smart TV, Nespresso coffee machine, etc) as well as books and board games to enjoy and a cosy wood-burning stove in the living room. We provide an initial basket of logs for the fire.
Outside is a private, fenced south-facing garden with patio. Perfect to enjoy the views, al-fresco dining or a sundowner cocktail! (New photos of the garden coming in May 2023)
The Location: Enjoy this peaceful spot tucked away on a quiet farm and surrounded by fields, but close to the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed and many other local highlights. Lots of stunning sandy beaches nearby, with the closest beach a ~15 minute walk / 5 minute drive from the cottage. Extensive walking & cycle routes to explore from the doorstep, along the coast, and in the nearby Northumberland National Park.
