Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds Ensuite: Toilet (Only). Oil central heating and electricity. Wi-fi, bed linen and towels provided.. Small enclosed south-facing garden with garden furniture. On road parking. No smoking.. Next door to the Holy Island Heritage Centre, this charming converted fisherman’s holiday cottage is reached by a causeway at low tide. Only minutes from the sea, with walks over the dunes, the castle and priory to explore. On the unspoilt Northumberland coast, with its sandy beaches and coastal walks. Berwick-on-Tweed, 15 miles. Boat trips to the Farne Islands, castles and National Park close by. Post office, shops and pubs 400 yards.

We stayed here in August as a family of 6 and were pleased that we all had ensuite facilities. The cleanliness of the cottage is impeccable with obvious extras like hand sanitiser for covid rules. The interior is much more spacious than it looks in the photos and the little rear garden is delightful. It is centrally located in the village and within easy walking distance of quiet beaches and the stunning island features. We had all the equipment we needed and the owners sent clear instructions to help us to enjoy our visit. This cottage is good value for money and we would love to go again one day. Has the potential for being a delightful, cosy cottage in an ideal location but, had some important downsides. Did not have a high standard of cleanliness. Very, uncomfortable mattress and hot water almost non-existent despite being reported by previous visitors. Would not go again. Shame.

A cosy, spacious cottage for a complete getaway from the business of daily life. A traditionally decorated cottage that is perfect for couples and families. We stayed over Christmas week and had a wonderfully peaceful break in the ideally located cottage. Once you get to grips with the causeway tidal times, it's the perfect getaway place.

Cosy and comfortable cottage. Some of the decor and furniture is a bit old fashioned. Only gripe kitchen worktops felt grimey and a splash down one of the cupboards wiped off easily.
