We had a lovely time.
Friendly and accommodating owner. I really liked it when the animals were around. It was great when the ocean was nearby. What I liked the most was when there was a viewing tower next to the cottages. We also saw dolphins, but only their tails.

Trip of a Lifetime in the Irish Countryside!
It's a newly refurbished cottage located next to a real medieval castle, and the views of the water and the horses, dogs, and goats that are nearby are incredible! Paul and Anne were great hosts. Also, that coal stove in the living room was nice for the cold and rainy nights!
It's a little remote, so it takes a little while to get anywhere on the winding and narrow country roads. But that's the charm of staying in the Irish countryside!

Enjoyable stay had.
Pretty, scenic, quiet, restful and rural location, overlooking the Shannon estuary with spectacular evening sunsets. A forty minute car journey to Limerick and a ten minute car journey to Askeaton. We received a warm welcome on our arrival and a guided tour of the accommodation. The few minutes spent by the property owner in showing us how to use the appliances and heating was greatly appreciated. The accommodation is comfortable, bright and warm, with plenty of hot water, an open fire stove if needed and all basic essentials needed for self catering, including the small kitchen bathroom items. A very enjoyable stay had. Will return.
Would love to see some form of blind or curtain on the front and back door, as well as the skylight velux window in the master bedroom. Provision of a sweeping brush and/or hoover would be handy. Add a few extra kitchen utensils (potato masher, colander, electric kettle), as well as separate bins in the kitchen for waste, recycling and compost.
