About this property
The Garden Apartment At Greenwich House, Ludlow
Greenwich House, a beautiful Grade Two listed Georgian house, lies in the centre of historic Ludlow, famous for its colourful history, architectural beauty and reputation for culinary excellence, with one Michelin star and many other fine restaurants. It's ideal for exploring the Castle, magnificent 12th Century Church and marvellous antique shops. Every day, you can tread the beautiful cobbled streets and enjoy the local fruit and produce markets, or antique and craft fairs, almost every day of the week.
The studio apartment panelled in Georgian pine, is spacious, comfortable, and very light, and leads directly out to the garden. The garden is a delightfully sunny and secluded spot, with well-established shrubs around the curving paths, and a terrace with a picnic table for outdoor eating. The Garden Apartment gives the feeling of being right in the centre of things, yet also private and secluded.
NB Smoking within the apartment is discouraged, but the garden is very accessible
Further information: The studio apartment and garden are on the first floor of Greenwich House. The garden is a delightfully sunny and secluded spot set at the rear of the house, with well established shrubs around the curving paths, and a terrace with picnic table for outdoor eating. Its very quiet and private, and the big bonus of the studio apartment is being able to walk straight from the living room out into the garden, because both are on the same first floor level. The most intrusive sound will be the bells of nearby St Laurence's Church, and the most pervasive smell that of bread from the local bakery.
Accommodation: The main living room, panelled in Georgian pine, is spacious and light. It houses the main double bed, the sitting area, the dining area and the mini-kitchen, which is hidden away behind a mirrored wall unit. It is all very convenient, attractive and romantic.
Facilities: The mini-kitchen is complete with table-top cooker, full-sized fridge and combi microwave. In addition to the main living room the apartment has a separate bathroom with shower unit over the bath, and a dressing room. Sheets, blankets towels and duvets are provided. There is also a colour TV with DVD player, Radio with CD player, iron and ironing board provided for the use of the guests.
There is a good WiFi signal at the flat
A short guided tour of Ludlow is included in the price for anyone who is interested :)
PARKING: From 6pm until 8am there's free parking in the street. For other times there are various options with various prices, but the best option is in Smithfield car park which is £13 for a whole week just a 10 minute walk through town from the house. For loading and unloading 10 minutes is fine.
