About this property
Beautifully restored studio flat in a Georgian house in the heart of Ludlow.
Greenwich House, a beautiful Grade Two listed Georgian house, lies in the centre of historic Ludlow, famous for its colourful history, architectural beauty and reputation for culinary excellence, with one Michelin star and many other fine restaurants. It's ideal for exploring the Castle, magnificent 12th Century Church and marvellous antique shops. Every day, you can tread the beautiful cobbled streets and enjoy the local fruit and produce markets, or antique and craft fairs, almost every day of the week.
The Balcony Flat is on the second floor of the house and being sited at the rear, it is very quiet and private. The balcony itself overlooks the fascinating garden of 2, Mill Street itself, and has a unique vista over the backs of the old Ludlow town houses and their gardens, and a lovely view of St. Laurence’s Church. The balcony has room for sitting out and basking in the sun, and the steps lead down to its private garden that goes with the Balcony Flat, where there is a picnic table and BBQ, seating 4 -6.
The Balcony Flat has a staircase for comfortable access. It comprises one double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and one smaller bedroom with single bed and ensuite shower, and a separate toilet. There is a modern fitted kitchen, a very spacious sitting room/dining room with double sofa bed, which leads out on to the balcony.
The kitchen is fitted with modern units including a fridge freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave and a washing machine, with a service hatch through to the main sitting room. The sitting room, with original beams across the ceiling, enjoys a lovely sunny aspect. The outside door leads out on to the balcony, which is wide enough to take sunchairs and a small table, and overlooks an enchanting lower garden with views of the Church and the backs of old Ludlow town houses. This Flat has its own private garden, which is accessed down the wooden staircase.
PARKING: From 6pm until 8am there's free parking in the street. For other times there are various options with various prices, but the best option is in Smithfield car park which is £13 for a whole week just a 10 minute walk through town from the house. For loading and unloading 10 minutes is fine.
