A working Aga throws heat into this comfy living space. The log burner and comfortable sofas offer an inviting place to settle after a busy day walking or cycling through the fells. There is a fully equipped kitchen off the living area, offering all modern appliances.

Ascend to the first floor via a steep staircase (not recommended for people with limited mobility). At the top is the master bedroom which can be closed off by means of bifold doors or left open plan. Down the corridor is the large bathroom which offers a large walk-in shower and a deep roll top bath for soaking away those aches and pains from a busy day of fun. Off the landing a small corridor leads to the second bedroom which houses a double bed and a bunk bed.

The property is surrounded by stunning scenery and the charming village of Gosforth lies less than a mile away offering local shops and pubs, or if you prefer under 3 miles away lies Seascale beach offering strolling or swimming along miles of sandy coastline. The main lure of this location is its accessibility to some of the most stunning parts of the planet with Scafell Pike (England’s highest peak), Wast water (England’s deepest lake), the scrambles and climbing around Wasdale or a walk through the woods in Nether Wasdale. For the less energetic among you there is Whitehaven a short drive up the road which offers a mix of independent shops, pubs and restaurants all set around the working harbour. So however, you choose to spend your time Harebeck Cottage is the ideal location to pick.
