About this property
Family House with garden in Lake District National Park - sleeps 8
Full of period features but with up to date amenities this 250 year old house with it's private garden, is an ideal base for exploring the Lake District. It is on a main road but very quiet at the back. It has a permanent awning covering the patio and secure out buildings if you wish to store bikes or kayaks. There is a public car park nearby which guests should use. You can access the back garden directly from the car park via the green gate. The western side of the Park is not so busy as other parts but is is still easy to get to Coniston, Windermere and Wast Water. Nearby Ravenglass has a minature railway that takes walkers from the coast up to Eskdale Green and on to Boot Station. Both Wasdale Head and Boot are good points to set off from the climb Scafell Pike - England's highest peak.

About the host
Hosted by Hugh Robertson
Becky and Hugh have a number of holiday properties around the UK. They spend their time renovating , repairing and booking. When not doing that they like to travel with their two teenage children.
Why they chose this property
This is a lovely house - much bigger than you would think from the outside. It has a private garden and secure storage.
What makes this property unique
Access to the Lake District National Park without the traffic and crowds of the more popular parts of the park. Easy to get around, easy parking, close to the beach and the mountains.
