About this property
⭐️Stunning Holiday Home⭐️ - Centre of Coniston - 3 bedroom
Puddleduck House is an extremely stylish and spacious three bedroom house situated right in the centre of the stunning village of Coniston, in the Lake District National Park. Surrounded by gorgeous mountain scenery, the property has two large receptions (inc. feature log-burner), well-equipped kitchen, downstairs WC, three spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, garden and a spacious garage offering parking for two cars. 1 min walk from the village and 8-10 mins from the Lake. Super-fast WiFi.
Puddleduck House is a fantastic house for holidaying in the Lake District. Being situated right in the heart of the village (with no nasty hills to climb to get to and from the pub!) it is close to everything - the lake, the mountains, the walks, the pubs, restaurants and takeaways! The house is very spacious and you have a large, comfortable lounge with wall-mounted TV, feature log-burner and comfy leather sofas. The dining room has a large table with seating for 6, plus a highchair should you need one. The kitchen is very well equipped - with microwave, cooker and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine (there is a tumble dryer in the garage too), dishwasher and even a slow cooker - ideal for coming back to after a long day's walking and sightseeing! There are plenty of cupboards for storing food and the cupboards/draws are very well-equipped with everything you should need for cooking up a storm! On the ground floor there is also a toilet.
On the first floor there are two bedrooms - one has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables and also has the convenience of an en-suite shower room and WC. The other, very spacious, bedroom can either be a family room with two twin beds or a super-comfy superking bed. There is a wardrobe, ornamental fireplace and chest of drawers.
On the top floor (can be a master suite) there is the master bedroom which enjoys views across to the mountains and has a kingsize bed, double built-in wardrobes, dressing table and chest of drawers. All of the bedrooms have large mirrors and electrical sockets. The master bathroom, also on the top floor, has fantastic views of Coniston Old Man and the pretty houses dotted around the base of the fells. There is a very luxurious roll-top bath and a separate shower cubicle, WC, wash hand basin plus storage for bathroom effects.
Outside the kitchen door is a small back yard with bistro set and gate to private path, across which is the garage. The garage is very spacious and long, with parking for two cars. The garage houses the tumble dryer. To the rear of the garage there is a pretty little garden with patio and grass - and a picnic bench from where you can gaze up at the mountains with a cup of tea or something stronger! A BBQ is provided - ideal for warmer months!
We strive really hard to make sure your holiday in Puddleduck House is memorable and relaxing ... giving you the chance to totally unwind from the stresses and strains of daily life :)
Guest access
The whole property is available to guests for their un-interrupted use.
Other things to note
Note: the stairs in the property are relatively steep so may be a bit more challenging for the very elderly or those with very restricted mobility. There is a bannister to one side of the stairs all the way up. Flexiguards are provided for the stairs so you can use them for children and dogs.

About the host
Hosted by Joy Livermore
I love the great outdoors and have been lucky to have the lake district pretty much on my doorstep my whole life. Now with my husband and three kids we often come to the lake district and do a wide range of activities whether that be fell walking/running, mountain biking, kayaking, swimming. But we fell in love with the tradional lake district feel of Coniston and just love it up here. We bought our first holiday home in Coniston back in 2015 and have never looked back.
Why they chose this property
My husband and I along with some great home renovation experts really brought Puddleduck to life, we really do treat it as a home from home and as such that means it is in our eyes to a high standard, thats not just for our guests but for my family and friends too. Its a fab place to stay and close to everything in Coniston so you don't even have to get the car out unless your going further afield. The house has everything you need and I am sure you would have a great stay too.
What makes this property unique
The back garden we have has perfect views of the famous Coniston Old Man and Grizedale forest. Within a 10-15 min walk you can be at lake Consiton taking in those early morning views
