Welcome to our beautiful Lake District home, Woodside Cottage, in Cartmel Fell.

Our home is perfect for escaping the hectic nature of everyday life. Come and enjoy the most incredible hikes, wild swim in our fantastic lakes, or relax in the hot-tub overlooking our beautiful gardens and mountain views. You’ll be able to relax in the peace and calm of Cartmel Fell knowing that the vibrant Bars, Restaurants, shops and activities of Windermere and Bowness are at your fingertips. The choice is all yours!

Woodside cottage offers:
-3x King sized bedrooms & 1 single bedroom
-3x bathrooms (one is en-suite)
-A spacious lounge with a wood burning stove and smart TV
-A cosy dining room with incredible views
-A fully fitted kitchen and utility fully stocked with free tea, coffee and pantry items!
-A massive garden with a fire pit, outdoor dining area and BBQ
-An oak, wood fired Hot Tub!

The location couldn’t be more accessible to so many amazing areas within the Lake District. As mentioned above your nearest towns are Bowness & Windermere, however a little further up you have Ambleside, Keswick and Grasmere. One of our personal favourites after Windermere is Coniston Lake from which you are only a 20 minute drive.

Amazing stay in the Lake District

This home is extremely clean, well decorated and well equipped in every way. Hannah is very responsive and we had a fabulous stay. The view overlooking the garden while sitting in the hot tub is amazing. Highly recommend this beautiful home!

A wonderful stay with friends to celebrate my 50th! The cottage was beautiful, location stunning and information for guests excellent.We initially couldn’t find the lock box on arrival and shared our amusement of trying to find the fourth bedroom but couldn’t fault the attention to detail and how well equipped the cottage was.

Charming cottage in beautiful countryside.

Charming cottage in a peaceful location. Only a short drive to Newby Bridge and Bowness on Windermere. Step out into gorgeous rolling countryside, leafy lanes, secluded scenic walks. Lovely neighbours. A cosy pub within a one mile walk. It had everything we needed.

Lovely quiet location. Great communication with host. All amenities and well stocked kitchen for basics, though we did bring our own. Toiletries provided if you didnt bring your own. Great BBQ and hot tub area, and more than enough wood to heat the hot tub.Lovely pub about 10 mins walk away with a great food menu.Parking for 3 cars easily.

Perfect

We stayed here on the way back from Cornwall and we only wished we had stayed longer. Not only dog friendly for our pooch but the cottage is just beautiful, lots of interesting fruit trees in the garden to keep our little one interested. Coming back and lighting the fire after a day on the fells was simply wonderful!

We purchased and renovated Woodside Cottage in August 2022 to create a perfect Lake District getaway that we could share with others. We adore the quiet, sublime nature of the Lake District and wanted to create a catered experience that would compliment all the Lakes has to offer! Woodside Cottage was designed with comfort, cosiness and luxury in mind - with plenty of home comforts to make your stay as relaxing as possible. Unwind by a lovely fire in the living room, or dine on our open terrace overlooking the gardens and spectacular views of the fells ; enjoy a complimentary glass of prosecco in our wood-fired hot tub or set off on one of the many incredible hikes located right on the doorstep! To us, guest experience is paramount so you’ll always have a friendly point of contact to hand with whatever you might need. We might be a little biased but we have worked hard to make sure your stay will be one you won’t forget!
