About this property
The Old Workshop, Wadhurst - Cosy cottage in the countryside
Welcome to The Old Workshop!
We have converted our brick former Victorian workshop in to an open, bright space that is both light & airy in summer, and cosy in winter.
We have loved incorporating as much of the charm of the original workshop into the cottage as possible, and have re-used many of the materials, and most of the tools! We hope you love it as much as we do.
The cottage has two bedrooms and one bathroom over ground and first floors. Perfect for two couples or a family.
————————————————————-
The Old Workshop has a large double height kitchen / living area with vaulted ceiling. This room has a well equipped kitchen with AGA, microwave and coffee machine (nespresso capsule -original style).
The living area has two sofas, coffee table and flat screen smart television.
From the living area there is direct access in to a small enclosed garden from which there is further direct access in to a fenced/hedged field. Perfect for setting off on your walk!
The property has two bedrooms - one is on the ground floor and one is on the first floor. There is a ground floor bathroom (bath with shower over).
For children - on the first floor is a small landing area with bean bags, toys and books for children. We have a high chair, baby bath, baby monitor and travel cot available (on request). Older children will love the hammock on the mezzanine!
The first floor bedroom can be set up as two twin beds or one king sized bed. Twin beds can be placed under the eaves with curtains (fun for younger children) or in the centre of the room (more comfortable for adults).
At mezzanine level, we have added a dedicated workspace / desk area which looks out over the field, together with a suspended catamaran net for relaxing with a book.
Yoga, sound healing, meditation, massage, tailored retreats, facials, manicure, pedicures and other beauty options are available on site via external providers. Please ask prior to booking.
