Awesome getaway!

Perfect stay!

Our trip to this home was nothing short of incredible. Everything you read about in the description is spot on plus you’ll experience amazing sunsets from the dock or even sitting in the hot tub. We quickly found our favorite spots in Marathon but we were also very happy just hanging out at the house - playing pool, riding bikes, fishing, etc. Communication with the owners is the best I’ve ever had with a rental. They reply immediately and they are truly so kind. Book this home, you will not regret it one bit. We left with memories we will never forget!

Amazing views and Sunsets

We had a great time relaxing in the pool and watching the amazing sunsets every night . The Kids enjoyed fishing from the pier -catching a variety of fish and using the kayaks and paddleboards. The lights on the dock at night were great and attracted alot fish also. Great location close to shopping,restaurants,food stores and local activites like snorkeling and boat trips. Would stay here again.

Great Hidden Getaway

This is our first VRBO rental and we are very happy with it. The house was exactly as pictured, no nasty surprises. One small plumbing issue which was taken care of quickly. We utilized the pool and paddle boards, it was a great opportunity to try something new. Lots of space indoors and out. Wouldn’t mind a trip back to this home :) Thanks for sharing your home with us

Ideal Rental

Our family of five, which includes kids ranging from 6 to 13, had such a great time at this house. Nothing in the description of the house was overstated. It is everything it's billed to be, and more. Great location, great views, great amenities (kayak, fishing gear, fish freezer, etc.). The location is right in the heart of the Keys, with restaurants and groceries an easy walk or drive away. Sombrero Beach is a beautiful sunny beach only a couple of blocks away. A manatee swam up to the dock on our first day there. What a sight! From the dock, we caught snapper and spotted sea trout, which provided some delicious meals. The owner, who was very attentive to our needs, gave me a tip to chum the water with some of our leftovers (a cooked chicken carcass). The next day, we caught a load of mangrove snapper. Thanks for the tip Harry. We would definitely return to this house in the future.

Good location, close to most things. Lots of construction going on that creates late night and early morning noise not only from the crew working but from fishing and hanging out after work hours. This is no fault of the hone though and can’t be helped. Overall the home is good order. Could desperately use new pots and pans. Very few pans exist and the ones that are there are in terrible shape. We had groceries delivered, which was great, but it was difficult to cook with so few pans. Most restaurants in the area will deliver contactless, which is a great way to help local restaurants rebound. Car side is also an easy option to find.

Nice stay

The house was nice and very clean. The stay itself was nice minus a few things. The kitchen was fully stocked and it had awesome kayaks. The no see ums we're so bad we couldn't spend much time outside unless it was windy. The bunk "bedroom" was not a true bedroom. You had to access through another bedroom and it was where the laundry was. It also had no shelves or dresser to put clothes in, so had to share dresser in the main bedroom. So that room was very disappointing. The beds themselves were nice. The pool had one small spot that had sun in the morning for maybe an hour but was in the shade the rest of the time. Some people may like that, I however wanted sun. The dart game and pool table were great as well! Overall a nice stay! Jamie was wonderful to deal with!

AMAZING!

This house is situated at the end of a dead end street. As you approach the house there is a beautiful white gate and just beyond that gate is your private sand beach yard. There is a boat ramp and a nice dock. The pool is small but clean. You will not be doing laps or cannonballs in this pool, but it is perfect for cooling off or hanging out. The inside was spotless! You can tell that the entire place was renovated in the last several years. It is a home away from home. The furniture is beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen is up to date and very clean. There is a beautiful covered deck that runs the entire length of the house. I read in a previous review that someone commented on how comfortable the master bed and pillows were. I completely agree! I wanted to bring the bed and pillows home with me! The owners really take impeccable care of their home and pay special attention to every detail to make your stay enjoyable. My whole family and I had an excellent vacation staying in this house. We really enjoyed the card table, playing cribbage almost every night. The views of the sunsets were amazing every night. If ever in that area again, this house would be my first choice. I hope you make it yours too. You definitely will not be disappointed.

Hands down this is the best place we have ever stayed at! The private boat ramp located on the property is a very rare find. The pool and hot tub overlooking the water is amazing! The owners have supplied the property with everything from kayaks, paddle boards, bikes, pool floats…you name it and it’s there! The home is very clean and well stocked. The living area and kitchen area is huge as well. The views are stunning from the house, pool and dock! We snorkeled, fished and kayaked every day right from the dock. We had the best week with our kids and grandkids and can’t wait to come back! Jamie is great to work with and very responsive and helpful!

Appliances, bathrooms, and bedrooms were clean. Pools, water toys and outdoor space made the property. This was our first visit to the Keys and the outdoor space saved the trip. We love the Florida beaches but the Key beaches are not great. This did not affect my property review. The property owner responded quickly however we were not given notice of the boat ramp being used by other people. The plumbers who showed up and somehow came into the locked gate unannounced, the contractor who yelled from the gate asking for Ben. Despite that I would recommend this house for vacation especially because it was clean!!

Wonderful stay with family

Beautiful location and lovely home! The kids loved playing in the pool. Adults enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. Lots to do in Marathon, and the home is centrally located. Just a short 5 minute drive over to the public beach.

Paradise!

This property did not disappoint. The location is spectacular, being minutes away from scuba diving, grocery, dining, and Key Fisheries for fresh local seafood. There is also a wonderful wildlife preserve within kayaking, walking or biking distance. Outdoor spaces were pristine and the pool was cleaned/serviced two times during our stay. The kayaks and paddle boards provided at the property were in great shape and used daily by our family. There are plenty of outdoor seating areas to enjoy as well. The house was exactly as expected and had a well stocked kitchen for cooking. This is definitely a home we will look forward to visiting again in the future. The icing on the cake was seeing a manatee right off the dock the morning we checked out. The property owner was helpful and thorough and provided great information.

After many vacations and thoughtful planning, we chose Marathon for its unbeatable blend of access, beauty, and community. We were looking for a waterfront home that wasn’t tucked away in a narrow canal but still provided safety, space, and open water feel—this home has all of that and more. It’s located in a serene cove, which gives us the benefit of calmer waters, protection from low tides or sargassum blooms, and the freedom to enjoy boating, paddleboarding, or jumping off the dock for a swim any time of day.
