Set within the beautiful Cotswold Lakes, you’re surrounded by over 180 lakes, woodland trails and quiet village lanes. The landscape feels open, green and peaceful in every direction. It's the perfect space to be active and explore, ideal for cycling, paddle-boarding, or just walking and enjoying the abundant wildlife and fresh air.
South Cerney is only a few minutes away and is one of the area’s most established villages. Think traditional stone cottages, small, friendly shops, lovely pubs and delightful cafés. Tree-lined lanes and village greens all lead directly towards scenic lakeside routes, so nature’s nearby even when you’re shopping.
Cirencester is about 10-15 minutes by car and offers boutique shopping, restaurants, markets, and a rich sense of history. Kemble Station is also close, with direct trains into London, making this spot practical for quick weekend visits as well as longer stays.
𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱:
A car is ideal for exploring the surrounding villages and lakes. That said, Kemble Station (direct trains from London) is just 7 miles away, and the 51 bus runs from the end of the lane to Cirencester and Swindon. Once you arrive, walking and cycling are great ways to enjoy the peaceful landscape.
𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲:
The house is pet friendly. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome (£30 per dog). A travel cot and high chair are provided. Paddleboard hire is available on request, and decoration services can be arranged for special occasions.
Quiet hours run from 10:30PM to 8AM, and we ask guests to respect the peaceful setting: No parties, and no smoking indoors.
𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀:
Everybody finds peace in a different way, and that’s how it should be. From the moment you book, you decide the pace, and we’ll be there to help you plan, and create moments that really matter. It’s that little extra layer of support we offer to make sure everything runs smoothly. Thoughtful service, that never gets in the way of a good moment.
Whether that means a slow morning with a fresh pot of tea and a long soak, or a day out exploring neighbourhoods and nature - we’ll guide you, so it all unfolds just the way you’ve pictured it.

Wonderful family stay
We had a wonderful break together as a family, it was the perfect location for walks, activities and nights out a great range of local pubs. A beautiful home, with lots of space, personal touches and a great view, thanks so much!
The house was incredible, everything was set up perfectly for us! We had a slight issue with a leak that knocked the power out but within 5 minutes of calling to report the hosts were straight over and ensured everything sorted! The only sight annoyance was trying to find the house. There are several Kingfisher’s in the area and the address took us to the wrong one! You’ll need to know the name of the lake this house is go figure out which one is correct :)We would 100% book again! Perfect for a girls weekend!

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us in Kingfisher Lodge despite the water leak. We are sorry you had initial problems finding our lodge, that's why we provide full driving details and What3words in our digital guidebook which can be downloaded prior to arrival. However, we know you the most wonderful time as a group of friends and we can't wait to see you again when you return

Outstanding accommodation & break away
This accommodation was outstanding. Such a lovely place with high quality bedding, towels and lush shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand wash.
The hot tub made it extra special being able to be outside on the lake with a bottle of fizz (even supplied that!!)
Great place for a girlie trip or suitable for families and or couples.
Not far from anything and a lot of places locally to visit

A Welcome Break
What a lovely lodge to stay in. It had everything you needed and more. The owners have thought of everything, even down to a mirror with a close up view so you can put your make-up on. Plus a welcome cake.

Most excellent stay
We loved staying in the Kingfisher lodge, it was like stepping into someone’s beautiful home, it was luxurious, comfortable the bathrooms for each bedroom were just so nice. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook up a birthday treat & to sit down at the table to enjoy it with the most magnificent views, then a dip in the spa on the deck to watch the sunset was amazing. Many thanks to the owners for the birthday cake & Prosecco which we enjoyed immensely, we didn’t want to leave.

Birthday stay
We stayed here for my boyfriend’s birthday at the beginning of November for a long weekend. The place was very tidy and clean. Everything had been thought of and included, including dressing gowns for the hot tub and spare towels to dry off our dogs.
Close walk to the little local village which has a lovely indian.
Overall, we had an amazing weekend and would definitely return!

Wonderful place to stay
Beautiful and homely accommodation in a beautiful location. The lodge is in immaculate condition with everything you need for a fantastic break. Fully equipped with all you need. Hosts Barry and Jo could not do enough. We had a couple of minor niggles on arrival (such as me pulling the door handle off) and they responded to messages in minutes and sent people over to fix the issues immediately. Absolutely fabulous stay, thank you Barry and Jo.

Immaculate lodges
The lodge was immaculate and perfect for a relaxing weekend away. The location is stunning. We have stayed previously, but in a different lodge and the high standard was consistent across both. The finishing touches like the milk, Prosecco and cake were a delight. We would highly recommend! Our only complaint would be communication, I sent emails before and after our stay that weren’t replied to, nor was my WhatsApp message acknowledged. A real shame as this wasn’t our experience last time. Finally just a suggestion that more of the rooms can be converted in to twin beds if desired.

About the host
Hosted by Be.Here.
We're Be.Here. Stays, a boutique property management company that looks after a hand-picked collection of exceptional homes in the Cotswolds.
Every property in our portfolio has been personally selected, styled and maintained to a high standard, because we believe the space you stay in genuinely shapes the quality of your break. We're not a listing agency. We manage every home directly, which means consistent quality, attentive service and a team that genuinely loves what they do.
Beyond the homes themselves, we offer a guest concierge service to help make your stay truly effortless. Whether that's recommending the best local restaurants, arranging a private chef, organising activities or sourcing that little something extra to make a special occasion feel memorable. However much or little support you need, we're here for it.
Why they chose this property
The Cotswolds is famous for good reason: the rolling hills, the picture-perfect villages, the honey-coloured cottages that seem to deepen in colour by late afternoon.
What tends to surprise people is everything else. Cheltenham Jazz Festival pulls a line-up you'd expect from a much larger city, and the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford is one of the great spectacles of the British summer. Theatres, galleries, antique shops and the kind of coffee stops worth a detour are scattered across the region, often in places you wouldn't think to look.
Daylesford Organic started as a farmshop and has quietly become something closer to a country estate you can spend the day inside, spa included. The Bull at Charlbury does a Sunday roast worth planning the weekend around. Aynhoe Park, since Restoration Hardware took it on, is somewhere between a country house and an art installation. The Cotswold Lakes are a world of their own, lodges on the water, paddleboards waiting for you, room to explore and room to do nothing at all.
This is our neighbourhood. So whether you're after a dog-friendly weekend of long walks and pub fires, a five-star house with a hot tub overlooking a lake, or somewhere to base yourself for a festival weekend, welcome. We're here to help.
What makes this property unique
Be.Here. is a collection of homes built for the kind of short stay that actually feels like one. Each one is different in setting, character, and shape of weekend, but they share the same quiet instinct for what a good break needs.
Nothing is left to chance. We've stayed in enough short-let homes to know which details matter, and we build every Be.Here. home around the ones that do.
Because a short break should feel like a real one. Whether you're here on your own with a book, around a long table with friends, or somewhere in between, the home should disappear into the background and let the weekend happen. That's the art of a great stay.
