Great beach location and private option

Great option for couples or solo travellers. Great private beach location and with great options to sit down and enjoy the sunsets. All was clean and tidy. Amenities and kitchen utensils are basic but enough for meals that require light prep.

Perfect home base

We had a great time in Cerritos! Fred was helpful answering our question prior to arrival and friendly throughout our stay. The studio provided all the necessities. We went fishing, beach bumming and surfing. We will be looking forward to our next stay!

Excellent location for off-grid style stay

The property is the upper part of a two unit casita on the owners compound on the beach. Excellent place for viewing the stars with so little light pollution. The owner has some friendly dogs so be aware if you are dog phobic. They aren't a bother but definitely around. Clean, simple, spacious unit that was very welcoming. Owner was helpful when we discovered problems with a tire.

Bachfront Paradise

Wonderful location, right on the beach. The suites were clean, well appointed, and close to the surf beach, town, and Cerritos is a great spot to use as a home base. Dealing with Fred was great, he was quick to respond, flexible, and happy to provide tips and suggestions for places to go, and things to do. He and Lucienne were perfect hosts. We'll be back to see them for sure.

Great property away from the hustle and bustle

My wife and I looked this property to stay for a few nights on our anniversary trip. We had such a great time taking walks on the beach and eating our meals outside on the patio. Cerritos Beach just north of here is great for surfing and has some cool restaurants and a little farther north of that are Pescadero and todos Santos.B have great restaurant options. The owners were very . We stayed in the studio and it had everything we needed.

Total beach experience

My husband and I stayed in the studio and our kids and grandkids stayed in the three bedroom unit. What a great, relaxing time we had! I love the fact that this place is off the grid but not lacking in amenities. This is not a luxury resort, it’s better! We were able to relax outside as adults while the kids played safely in the sand inside the fenced area. On the beach, we watched whales almost every day, enjoyed walking on the beach and even a beach fire at night. This place met all our wants and needs and then some!

Fred was great, contacted me ahead of time to ensure everything would be good. There was a booking snafu but he managed it on his end and everything was squared away for our trip. House was great-clean, near the beach and had beach items like chairs, cooler, umbrella etc. Would def book again! Los Cerritos town was so fun-right on the beach, good waves for swimming, great bar and restaurant evening scene. We tried a few taco places for dinner in all 3 local towns, all were good. We found Todos Santos a little over-priced and touristy. I'm sure 5 years ago it was perfect.

Fantastic location, host, & overall vibe!

A friend and I stayed for 4 nights. It was such a treat! The property is right on the beach, and beach lounge furniture is all set up (hammock, chairs, shade bungalo's). There's an outdoor shower to take the first layer of sand off. It's about a mile walk along the beach (great walk) to the surfing and action of Los Cerritos, while being distanced enough to get true relaxation and calm. The host Fred, as well as his family & caretaker Alma are fantastic! Very helpful and accommodating. I honestly cannot wait to come back. Thank you!

Difficult to find. When I called owner he was rude and in Canada. His daughter or niece was there taken care of it. We found the room. Nothing was cleaned. Dishes in the sink. She was on the beach. We had to go looking for her. She didn’t know we were coming. We decided not to stay and she didn’t seem to care. I called the owner back and told him and he didn’t seem to care either. When I mentioned how I would go about a refund he hung up on me.

Off the beaten path and no frills

Scenic loation with primative private beach. Strong currents so no swimming there. Had to go up to Cerritos public beach to get in the water. There were great little places to eat in Pescadero and Todos Santos. The studio is a converted garage with no A/C and very small windows so no off shore breeze to cool down the room. It is out in the desert and with that comes desert critters of the multi-legged variety. Wear your shoes. The host is very nice and communication was easy and always accessible. There are dogs on property and they bark early in the morning but do not bother the guests. Overall, a decent place and it matched the description.

Great Stay

The pictures portrayed the property accurately. I wouldn't stay here without a vehicle as it's a 5-10 minutes from a lot of things, but that was part of why we liked it. Mostly private secluded beach away from it all. The ocean had a strong rip current at times, so need to be cautious.

Great place on the beach

Spacious studio with everything you need. Awesome location right on the beach and nice palapa and chairs to hang out on the beach. A short drive to pescadero and todos santos. Don't follow Google maps pin as that took us several km too far. Going north, turn left on dirt road just past km 69 (it's just past where the median starts so your first time it's easier to go past it and get there from the other direction). It's just north of the two blanket factory buildings. Follow the signs once you're on the dirt road. There'ss a cool bar called Art & Beer also at km 69 that is walkable from the studio. You can also walk 1.5 miles up the beach to Cerritos with a few food options. Barracudas had some of the best fish and shrimp tacos

I am a retired Canadian living the dream on a beach I've been coming to for over 20 years. Originally from east coast, I moved west in late 70s. I've traveled to over 60 countries and have been riding motorcycles all my life. More into off-road in Baja, I still love a good road trip. I've owned an RV for over 20 years now and that's how I found Los Cerritos in the late 80s. I love the sunshine and the great climate we have at Los Cerritos, year round. With the Sierra Laguna mountains behind me and the Pacific ocean in front of me, I realize it's a slice of paradise. Watching whales November thru March from my deck is amazing, and the stars at night are heavenly.

People are very friendly in this area, and if you simply want to kick back and enjoy the tranquility, you've found the best option right here. Safe & secure, free from noise and hustle-bustle, this is a gorgeous getaway vacation home. Make some memories in your very own slice of paradise. There is a convenience store across the road and a delicious locally owned restaurant next door from it that prepares authentic cuisine. Right across the street is a uniquely themed bar/restaurant named Art & Beer.

What makes this property unique

This property was built with the planet in mind and is entirely eco-friendly. All power is solar and all water is trucked in, which makes it a unique and valuable experience without giving up many of the luxuries of a resort.
The hot water is unlimited and on-demand - excellent for showering. There is a private beach, secure beach access. Internet is High-Speed unlimited Wi-Fi. For any further questions please ask myself or my housekeeper and we'll be happy to help.
