Ballots Bay Treehouse

Ballots Treehouse is a unique beach home set in milkwood trees, perched
above a protected pebble beach and the Meul river mouth. With a minimum
stay of 3 nights, this haven is for nature lovers. This unique wooden
cabin is private and secluded, yet surprisingly close to all modern
amenities. Find yourself totally immersed in nature, while being in
the comfort of a private and romantic beach house.

It's hard to imagine a more natural and serene setting than this
self-catering gem, which sleeps up to 4 adults and 2 children. Ballots
Bay is situated in a private nature reserve, home to a wide range of
animals, birds, indigenous forests, and fynbos. After reaching the top
of a 67-step wooden stairway leading up to the Ballots Treehouse, you
will find three cosy, tastefully decorated bedrooms on the lower level.
The main bedroom boasts a queen size bed, an en-suite bathroom, and a
lavish corner bathtub. The second bedroom has a double bed, and the
third bedroom is a small room with bunk beds, ideal for two children.
Upstairs is a third bathroom, dining area, and fully-equipped kitchen,
and an open-plan lounge that spills out onto a generous deck. Watch
NetFlix movies while lounging on the comfortable leather couch in front
of the fireplace on a winter's evening. Dine on the upper deck shaded
by a large parasol, or relax over sunset cocktails and prepare a braai
in the Weber while soaking up the uninterrupted views over the beach
and river mouth.

Ballots Bay offers numerous walks and hikes that are truly spectacular.
This includes a lovely stroll through the Magic Forest where you may
stop for a picnic or braai in the shade. Additionally, you can cool
yourself in the remote rock pools which are accessible via rocky cliff
paths. Two beach BBQs located a stone's throw from the house are
reserved for guests and Ballots Bay residents only. The pebble beach is
the perfect place to spend the afternoon and for enthusiastic fishermen
to try their luck, without the crowds. Victoria Bay, the world-class
swimming and surfing beach is located only 1km to the east.

Excessive noise is not permitted.
The property may have a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children. If more are found to be staying, the full deposit will be taken.
Baboons are a nuisance, and therefore all windows/doors need to be closed when the property is vacated. If they do enter while vacated, a portion of the breakage deposit will be taken.
For security and safety purposes, guests are required to provide full names, identification, details of any children travelling, vehicle registrations, and estimated arrival times prior to check-in. This information will be treated confidentially, and failure to submit it on time may result in delayed or denied check-in.
All our properties are strictly non-smoking, and tenants accept full liability for all minors and visitors. Pets, parties, and events are not permitted.
For stays of 8 nights or more, a complimentary mid-stay clean, including fresh linen, will be provided. Additional cleaning services can be arranged upon request with a minimum of 24 hours' notice and will incur an extra charge.
A standard key and breakage deposit is payable before check-in. This amount depends on the standard of the establishment and may be changed at the owner’s/management’s discretion.
Please be advised that, to promote a sustainable and comfortable experience for all our guests, electricity usage is governed by a fair use policy that permits a reasonable amount of daily consumption. In the rare event of unusually high usage, a reimbursement may be requested.
