We stayed here in late September while helping my son move into his residence at Imperial College. The location was perfect. It was close to everything we needed. Easy walking distance to the university, the tube, and many local shops and cafes. Communicating with the property owner was quick and concise. We would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay at Belle’s flat. It was spotless. Beds were comfortable. We didn’t cook but it looked to have plenty of equipment. We were staying in that area to do the museums and they were only five mins walk away. Surrounded by restaurants and shops. Some noise in the mornings when shops are opening but not super early. Would highly recommend.
Well appointed and very nicely furnished - kind of zen. The location is fantastic…South Kensington is central and a lovely area to walk around. Coffee/pastry shops galore. Lots of restaurants but make sure to check them out online for reviews. The only criticism about the unit is the noise. The main bedroom faces the pedestrian way which is full of restaurants with outdoor seating. It is loud, no two-ways about it. Even with windows closed, the noise is relentless. The London weather was fantastic during our stay but opening the bedroom window wasn’t an option given the noise. There was a completely ineffectual fan in the bedroom …I would highly recommend the owner put in a good fan for their guests, it would be a big help. The only other tip for North American visitors , if you arrive in the early morning as most over-seas flights do, waiting all day for a 3 pm check-in is brutal. I don’t know what the work-around is but after all the travel time you just want to put your feet up and you can’t, it’s another 5 hours of trying to find a place to sit outside waiting. Not an ideal start to a holiday.
We spent eight fantastic days with this property as our base for exploring London as a family of four (two adults and two young adult children). This apartment is located immediately above the best coffee/pastry shop we’ve ever enjoyed. We ended up getting breakfast there every single morning of our stay! The property itself was perfectly functional, and aside from a couple super minor improvements, like a place for a hand towel in the guest bathroom, we found it to be an ideal home away from home. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the Nespresso machine was a welcome morning routine. The secondary bedroom was very small and only had about a 2 foot walkway between the two twin beds so it was a tight squeeze, but we didn’t spend much time in the apartment. The unit was a mere block and a half from the South Kensington tube station and the walk was filled with excellent restaurants and bakeries for any dining options you might desire. The Tesco express around the corner was surprisingly well stocked for such a small grocery store. The little pedestrian street that the primary bedroom looked out over was quaint and full of delicious restaurants, (we loved Ceru so much!) and was quite lively some evenings. I worried that the noise would keep us up, but the revelers quieted down before our sleep might have been interrupted. The apartment was clean, functional, and I always felt safe in the neighborhood. Highly recommend!
