My family had a wonderful stay. The home was spacious, clean and comfortable in a perfect location for enjoying Lake Tahoe. We really enjoyed the back patio, hammocks and grill. Richard was a kind and responsive host. I wish we could come and stay again.
We loved the stay. Plenty of space for the whole family, 12 in total and everyone was comfortable. There was a blackout during our stay but that did not affect our stay. Highly recommend this place as it is walking distance to the lake and market. 5 stars, 10 out of 10. Enjoy!!!
Great getaway experience for us overall. Discrepancies found: Cabin - lukewarm water only, shower curtain not attached (kept falling), shower handle falls off, kitchen faucet leaks. Were kitchen lights to remain on? no switch found, leg of bench under table loose. Furnace closet does not shut. Need broom/dustpan, shovel for outside and all vacuums inop. Driveway to front porch had 4ft ice barrier, several of us slipped on it. Downstairs room has open vent to outside in closet area, room very cold at night.

Disappointed
There were no complaints about the cabin in general; there was plenty of room for our group.
I was a bit disappointed that there was no actual dining area, But there was sufficient seating so meals worked out fine. There was very little toilet paper or paper towels provided so we have to go buy some.
There were some cosmetic issues that I want to report just for liability reasons; the curtain rod in the family room is partially pulled out of the wall so it hangs unevenly across the window. May not be safe for an extended period of time. Some of the window screens were missing. Also, the canned lighting in the kitchen came on, and stayed on. Honestly, we have no idea how. We could not find a way to turn them off. There are also broken blinds in various places.
One big complaint is that the upstairs bedroom doors would sometimes ‘lock’ when shut and anyone on the inside could not get out and had to bang on the door until someone came to free them. This was scary-especially for the children. If anyone of us were alone in the house when this happened it would have been very upsetting.
Being from out of town, we were not aware that there is a no-fire ordinance and used the fire pit that you have sitting in the middle of the back yard. Your neighbors called the fire dept and they had to come to the cabin in the middle of our birthday dinner to ask us to put it out. The firefighters were very nice about it and agreed that we had done nothing wrong. This was really disturbing because a notice from the owner, OR the neighbor could have prevented this. Instead, they preferred to call the fire dept and sent them out for nothing.
Lastly, we are aware that some owners have been known to take advantage of remote cameras to betray their renter’s trust and privacy. For that reason, we take the time to look for hidden cameras especially in the bedrooms of our children. We found what we think are two pinhole cameras inside of the tv receivers facing the master bed and the couch area. We covered the holes during our stay.
Needless to say, we won’t be returning.

One thing I have learnt from renting out my property is the state of mind of the human being and how messed up some of us are. I dont' know how to respond to this guest especially about hidden cameras. We have no hidden cameras. I have a doorbell camera and and a back of house outside camera for security and is made known to all guests on the site. Neighbors calling about a fire pit a guest had on is what neighbors do - apparently these pits aren't allowed anymore during fire season an ordinance recently passed. Curtains and door handles are wear and tear issues we struggle with because there are things addressed and the next guest messes up. Reviews like this and just the human being's general take on life discourages renting out to the public. We just don't want to lock up house when we aren't there as house falls apart is why its rented out in the first place. Lastly its a cabin in the woods of Lake Tahoe and what its not is a fancy hotel in Hollywood.
Great place to stay for friends and Lake Tahoe Triathlon
This was a perfect place for a group of 6 adults and a 1-year old. Plenty of space, a back MIL unit and some cozy hammocks made for a relaxing and enjoyable time. Loved the proximity to the start line for the Lake Tahoe triathlon-we didn’t have to drive or worry about parking! Would easily stay here again.
Location and home design good for the number of people we had. Cleanliness could be better… We had to wash some linens, two mattress protectors, and downstairs bathroom rugs before we used them. Water heater in out buildIng too small and vent to microwave oven is broken and kept falling… Dangerous. Communication prior and during was excellent. Hopefully these comments help.

Beautiful Home and Perfect Location
We stayed here for a wedding weekend, this was for the bridesmaids! We had plenty of space for all six bridesmaids and the bride to prepare for the wedding, we were never too crowded! And it was close to the wedding site. Plus, when we were all done, we really enjoyed relaxing in the backyard hammocks and fire pit. This was the perfect home for us to stay in, we loved it!

Very nice and comfortable, walking distance to shops and the trail.
Watch out for a rumpled rug in the master, tripped a few times. Also a chipmunk or mouse is trapped in the kitchen area

Scenic getaway
This house was perfect for our girls trip this year. Plenty of space and close to all the sights. Only a short walk to the lake. The house is very well kept and beautifully decorated. Will definitely be returning next year!
