Not Exactly What You Pay For
Communication with host was good and consistent.
Once we got into the building, we realized at that point that there is no elevator to the apartment which is located on the 3rd floor. Meaning we would have to carry our two large checked bags weighing 50 pounds each, as well as our carry ons and my infant son up three flights of stairs to our apartment. While I acknowledge that the listing does mention that there is no lift, it should be clearer in the description that the apartment is accessed through 6 flights of stairs, and definitely is not family friendly if there are things such as baby carriers, strollers, or multiple children involved.
Once we arrived in the apartment, we also realized that we did not receive the crib/cot for our son to sleep in as requested during the original booking. We then had to pay an additional 50 euros for this as a rental, when this is not mentioned on the listing and is stated as an amenity.
There is no microwave, the bathrooms started to smell after a couple days, and there were small red mites that were around in the apartment.
The location is beautiful, the beds were comfy, and there is a large selection of dishes for the kitchen which was appreciated.
I wish there was more transparency of how not family friendly this apartment is, given the number of stairs needed to climb, and the safety risk it poses. We would have booked somewhere else if it was more clear.
