Host was very welcoming, the house was very cosy and warm in very cold weather. Nicely laid out, comfortable and very quiet. Really well equipped kitchen and laundry.
Lovely cottage with an amazing host. We enjoyed our stay very much! Everything clean and everything available as listed. Even toys for the kids were available.

Hello Marie,

I wish you the very best.
Kind Regards,

The house is lovely and perfect for a family. The location is excellent if you are looking to stay somewhere not right in town, but still close to things. It is also well situated for a nice walk to see neighboring farms, including a friendly pony and donkey pair. Pam is a generous host - she baked us traditional Irish brown bread and stocked the kitchen with a couple of staples. The house had everything we needed and we really enjoyed it.
When I was young my family always hosted guests, in a sense we grew up with it. Its very rewarding to see people enjoy a break and play a very small part in that.
Why they chose this property
This is a small community along the coast of County Kerry. We live in the Iveragh Peninsula which is one of a number of peninsulas in the south west of Ireland. It is a gateway to a wild and beautiful landscape and rugged coastline which is part of the Wild Atlantic Way. We live very close to Dooks Golf Course, this is one of a number of famous links golf courses which a great many golfers enjoy playing along the west coast of Ireland. We are also approx a 40 mins drive to the village of Portmagee where the boats depart for a visit to Skellig Michael. Also why not enjoy a picnic with one of the great number of walks, treks, mountain walks in the area, we are approx 30 minutes from the National Park of Killarney, this offers an opportunity to visit Muckross House, visit an example of an old Traditional Farm or enjoy the beautiful gardens or the walks that extend from the car park.
What makes this property unique
This cottage was built on the site of an older building from the late 1800's.
