Apartment Description.
Located on the third floor with elevator of a typical 1950' Bologna building, dating back to the second half of the 20th century, in a perfect location on the beautiful and commercial Via Marconi, in the heart of downtown Bologna. In this neighborhood there are streets full of stores, delicious restaurants, and within a few minutes' walk you can reach Bologna's most important monuments.
Attractions
The apartment is located in the central district, right in the historic center of Bologna, near the folkloristic Via del Pratello and Piazza Malpighi. The area is named after one of the city's most important churches. The Porto district offers a rare glimpse of the "old" Bologna with lively markets and small craft and leather stores, including the August 8 Piazza Market. You will also enjoy the city's widest selection of stores, bars, typical restaurants and pizzerias. Three of the best and most expensive restaurants, Marretti, Oltre, and da Cesari, are nearby. There is also a good selection of mid-priced options. At night, the Porto district is one of the city's liveliest areas, and with its pedestrian streets and illuminated buildings, it turns into the perfect place for an after-dinner glass of wine or an evening stroll down Via del Pratello. For those who choose an apartment in this area, the Porto district offers several grocery stores, supermarkets, laundromats, and souvenir stores, as well as being adequately served by the local public transportation service.

This particular apartment is located within the ZTL zone, so if you plan to come to Bologna by car and want to get around and park, you will need to pay special attention to street signs, CCTV cameras, and access cameras (which will show a red/green light) to avoid receiving fines. Guests who need to drive within the ZTL zone to reach their apartment are encouraged to contact one of the downtown private garages (the one closest to the apartment you are staying in) to obtain a temporary access permit. Upon arrival at the garage, clients should specify that they need access to the ZTL, and the garage will take note of the vehicle's license plate number and forward it to the appropriate police station.
