If you dream of staying in a 15th century medieval town house of very high standard, made by limestones and situated in the very heart of the medieval town of Pals, Els Balcons de Pals offers this unique opportunity.

The town of Pals is situated on a top of a small hill, and therefore you have a panoramic view from the fantastic roof terrace over the Empordá area and can enjoy the sunset over the Mediterranean Sea, less than 5 km. from the house.

Pals is an extraordinary medieval town, and it attracts a lot of guests from all over the world, so you will have many restaurants and shops with gourmet products in walking distance. When renting the house, you will have a private parking space in the antique neighbourhood.

From the main square of Pals, where you also find the tourist office, you take the road up though a beautiful arch and after about 200 meters, the house is situated on your right-hand side.

3 steps up, you enter the “ground floor” of the house with kitchen, sitting area with TV and a completely new bathroom with shower. The kitchen is very well equipped with much more kitchenware than one usually find in a holiday home, as well as fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, ceramic hotplates, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and food processor. Furthemore, there is a spacious dining room with dining table and French balconies.

Additionally, the house is very well-equipped with three TVs, DVD, WIFI-internet as well as a computer available for the guests, also with Internet and radio, washing machine and dryer. Furthermore, the house is air-conditioned.

On the next floor in this beautifully decorated house with an authentic atmosphere, you find the three double bedrooms, two of them with French balconies. Two of the rooms have double beds, and one is equipped with two big single beds. Additionally, there is space for 1-2 beds if necessary. On this floor, you also find the second bathroom of the house.

The top floor is the pearl of the house. Inside, there is a spacious living room with sofas and TV, decorated with historical pieces from the area and from the double doors, you have access to the very big roof terrace, where you have the most stunning view over this beautiful part of the Costa Brava area, with the small medieval villages on each hill top inland, and the coastal area with beach resorts and cliffs. Watching the sunset over the landscape while having meat on the barbecue, or just a glass of red wine or a cup of coffee, is a true stress-killer.

The area:

There are so much to do in the area. You have the beautiful beaches of “Golf de Pals” only 5 km. away, here you can find broad sand beaches or small private rock beaches. The owners, who have lived all their life in the area, will be pleased to give you their best advice.

For golfers, the area is excellent with 3 different golf courses within 10 km. and also the PGA Golf Catalunya about 40 km. away. If you like tennis, there is a local tennis club nearby. If you like gourmet food, there are many excellent restaurants in and near Pals, that we can recommend.

If you like a bit of exercise, the area is excellent for bicycling or walking, as the area is quite flat with small hills and a lot of marked routes. Sometimes it is called the “Catalan Tuscany”. Neighbour villages such as Palau-Sator and Peratallada are protected medieval villages, and have some very good restaurants with Catalan food, perfect for a lunch break while exploring the area. Also, for walking, there are some fantastic tracks following the coast of Costa Brava.

For longer excursions, within 1 hour, you can reach the beautiful regional capitol of Girona, Figueres with the Dalí museum, or Cadaquez/Port Lligat, where you can visit the home of Dalí. Within 2 hours you can visit Barcelona, Perpignan in France and the beautiful Pyrenees mountains.
