About this property

18th Century Cottage in Cirencester w/ Garden

Summary:
This beautiful home’s honey-stone exterior is quintessentially Cotswolds, but the interiors have been given a contemporary twist. Find historic charm and modern comfort at this two-bedroom cottage in Cirencester. Housed within a Grade II* listed building from 1775, find original features aplenty - from exposed stone walls to rustic beams and terracotta flagstone floors. Yet, stylish decor adds a touch of luxury. Paid on-street parking is found outside the cottage.

The Space:
With inviting rooms, a courtyard garden and an abundance of charm, this cottage is the ideal setting for a country getaway. After long days out exploring, head to your cosy living room for an evening of peace and relaxation - settle in for the night with a glass of wine and a film on the Smart TV. Meanwhile, next door, the brand new kitchen, featuring marble countertops, a butler sink and coffee machine is a delight to rustle up delicious homecooked meals.

Upstairs, the cottage boasts two spacious bedrooms that sleep four. Both are as light, bright and homely as the other. The master has a super-king bed and the second bedroom with a king-size bed (both also have pull outs available on request - please see more info below). There’s also an added bonus of a desk for anyone planning to work remotely. Both share a lovely family bathroom with a shower and bath unit.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the whole cottage and garden, including a lockable shed.

The Neighborhood:
Cirencester is a charming market town that is often thought of as a gateway to the Cotswolds. Immerse yourself in history with a visit to the Corinium Museum, showcasing artefacts from Roman times. Explore the picturesque streets lined with quaint shops, cafes, and historic buildings. Take a leisurely stroll around Cirencester Park or venture further afield to the enchanting Cotswold countryside. Indulge in a spot of retail therapy at the bustling markets or browse the local art galleries. The cottage is also right next to the award-winning Barn Theatre.

With its rich heritage, stunning scenery, and vibrant atmosphere, Cirencester offers something for everyone, ensuring an unforgettable stay.

Getting Around:
For those travelling with their own vehicles, there is a large car park right opposite the cottage called Beeches Road Car Park. The rates are reasonable and it only costs £3.10 per day - overnight parking is free.

For those who are travelling by public transport, the cottage is very convenient. Megabus and National Express bus stops are adjacent to the Beeches Car Park on London Road, just a few minutes walk away from the cottage. These cost effective services run all over the country. Alternatively, you can take the Cheltenham-Swindon-London line and get off at Kemble station. This is around 7 miles from Cirencester and there are taxis available or you can cycle. The garden has a lockable shed for bike storage.
