I spent a few days in this place and it was worth it.
We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a very nice conversation. The barge/boat is very comfortable and is located in a quiet place a few kilometers from the city center. Mornings with a view of the Rhone, with good coffee which is provided on site are incredibly beautiful. The owner is very helpful and polite. I will gladly come back here!
We absolutely loved our stay here. When I booked this boat I did have a few concerns. We are "boat people" so we know that the toilets can be a bit stinky, the quarters a bit cramped (my husband is 6'6" - 198cm tall), and below deck can get HOT. I also always worry about mosquitos when I'm near the water. NONE OF THAT WAS A PROBLEM HERE! My husband could stand full height in the kitchen and only had to tilt his head a bit in the bedroom and the toilet technology was fantastic. It got up into the high 80's when we were there and while it always got a bit warm during the day, the nights cooled off wonderfully. I was actually chilly most nights and needed a blanket. Our towels were all exchanged 1/2 way through the week and the hot tub water was checked daily to make sure it was clean and chemically balanced. While we did have the space to ourselves, there was another cabin that shared the kitchen. Had another client booked that other room, this would have been a very different outcome for us. We are private people and purposely do not use other sites to book because we want a house to ourselves. It's also good to know that the owner does live on another part of the boat with its own entrance and outdoor/indoor areas and we liked having him close in case any issues came up. I would book this as a 2 bed but not 1 if I had to share.
