About this property

Beautiful cabin getaway on Green Lake

Located on the south end Green Lake on a private bay in Chisago City.
Lake size is 1810 acres. Great for fishing, boating and other recreational activities. Boat launch less than a mile away and dock space available for you if you bring your boat. We have 2 kayaks, a paddle board and paddle boat for your use. This cabin is located next to our home but is totally private. Depending on our schedule much of the yard would be available for your use. Private deck with great view all the way around. Near Camp Ojiketa, Winehaven Winery and a Brewery, fun shopping. 30 minutes from historic Stillwater, Hazelden, and Taylors Falls. 40-45 minutes from US Bank Stadium and MSP airport.

You can enjoy this cozy cabin with fieldstone gas fireplace, full kitchen, queen size log bed and full bath. An enclosed set of bunk beds that the kids love and great for adults too. Fully furnished with everything you need. Air conditioned, sliding door to deck with a wonderful view. Cool off in the water or lounge on the beach! Also great for a getaway to cross country ski, ice fishing, snowmobiling, view the fall colors or to just have a quiet romantic getaway. Great fishing lake both winter and summer.

Great lil cabin

Great family stay. FABULOUS yard with lot of stuff to do. Kayaks were a blast. Nice beach and fire pit along with horseshoe pits. Forget the hotels in this area and stay here.

We had a great weekend stay at this cabin! There is so much for the kids to do here from the outdoor swings and games, to the beach, the fire pit and so much more! We loved the cabin’s decor, and the bunk beds are so fun. Can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic getaway!

We had a fantastic time here at the cabin! The location for us was perfect, close to family and activities. Vicki and Dick were great hosts and epitomized the term "Friendly Minnesotans "! The month here was so enjoyable and we hope to return in the near future.

Why they chose this property

We built our home in 1981. Four years later we built what we now call the cabin which was for my interior design business. A few years later I moved to a retail location in Forest Lake and the building was empty and not used. We then did a little remodeling and over many years family & friends would stay during some of their transitions. We then started renting to people from Hazelden coming from all areas of the world to study for their masters degree. In 2017 we decided we wanted more control in having this available to our son and his family to stay occasionally. We thought we would try VRBO since we like VRBO properties when we travel. We love to share our beautiful location with others.

What makes this property unique

We selected this lot to build our home because of a peninsula of land and being surrounded by water. Every direction is a beautiful view. Quiet neighborhood, wonderful for quiet walks and serene nature! Kayaks for your use to view nature and the cabin from the lake. Although this is next to our home, there is plenty of yard behind the cabin and totally private & quiet! We are always remodeling or updating for our guests comfort.
