Lovely park, especially the siting of this caravan around a small lake with swans and ducks.
Lovely park, especially the siting of this caravan around a small lake with swans and ducks. Indoor areas and new pool/spa are great.Beds were uncomfortable and damp stains on curtain linings. Lots of little spiders hanging from the ceiling. Wi-Fi reception was poor. Were given a key access code on the booking documents which didn’t work (we arrived about 30 minutes early) Had to get the reception to contact owner (who wasn’t answering) but who messaged me with a new code at 2.55pm (so maybe telling people this will happen could save concern after hours of trave).
Absolutely disgusting and borderline uninhabitable. No towels, filthy unwashed crockery, urine stained toilet, all kitchen surfaces dirty, sticky mirrors smeared and splash stained, entry gate post broken, curtains falling off tracks and mouldy, shower attachment broken blinds unusable, mattress bedsprings piercing through, bedclothes didn't appear clean. On a safety note the smoke alarm didn't work and the fire extinguisher was dated 09-2011. The boiler cupboard with the warning "THIS CUPBOARD SHALL NOT BE USED AS A STORAGE AREA" was used as a storage area for cleaning products and toilet rolls. On arrival the fridge freezer and heating were turned off with no instructions oh their use (two partly used two pint containers of milk left in the fridge which as the fridge was turned off had turned to something resembling yoghurt). The barbecue had been recently used and not cleaned. The description of bedroom 1 with Ensuite was completely DISHONEST it was stated as having "Cubicle Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet" when in fact it was only a toilet and washbasin. The entire lodge had a most peculiar smell which remained even after airing out by opening all available windows doors etc.We had booked as a party of four adults for a period of 4 nights but upon experiencing the state of this lodge we left immediately following the first night. How this property is advertised on a reputable letting site is an absolute mystery.
