There's nothing like the expansive, breathtaking views from nearly every room of this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo. On the deck you can hear the roar of the Deschutes River below and watch it stream through a forest of Ponderosa Pines. Whether you are seeking outdoor adventures or cozy relaxing, you'll find this to be an ideal location.

The beautiful views give you the feeling of being secluded in nature while you are also conveniently close to all the fun in and around Bend. You will have endless options for activities in the warmer months with golf, mountain biking, river-floating, hiking and kayaking nearby. The Old Mill District is a short drive (1.5 miles) where you'll find shopping, dining and nightlife. Drive a little further (2.5 miles) to downtown Bend and enjoy amazing restaurants, breweries, and shopping. If mountain sports are on your agenda, Mt. Bachelor (the fifth largest ski resort in North America) is just a 20 minute drive.

If you'd rather slow down on vacation and leave your car in park, you'll find this condo has you covered. Spend some time enjoying the view while soaking in the BRAND NEW private hot tub on the deck (seats 2 to 4 people). The Mt. Bachelor Village Resort has an outdoor kids' play structure, large heated outdoor pool (March - October) and two community hot tubs, which are open year round. Hiking and biking trails are located just off of the property. An entrance to the Deschutes river trail is just down the hill and allows you to walk up and down either side of the rushing river water.

In the condo itself you'll find all the necessities for a comfortable vacation. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need to prepare meals, including updated stainless steel appliances. A gas grill is located on the deck, along with table and chairs for outdoor dining. Inside, there is seated dining for four, as well as breakfast bar seating for two. The living room has a large sectional couch and gas fireplace, perfect for relaxing.

For your entertainment, you'll find a flatscreen TV, HD cable, high speed internet, Blu-ray DVD player. You can access streaming video services with your own account (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video). There is also a DVD library of over 50 classic movies and plenty of board games to enjoy.

One bedroom features a KING SIZE BED and the other a queen. The living room couch includes a pull out queen size bed, with an upgraded mattress. This condo sleeps 6 people comfortably. All bed linens purchased new in September of 2017. The layout and size of this condo make it a perfect choice for a family to enjoy time together, but have enough space to spread out.

For your convenience there is an in unit washer and dryer, ironing board with iron, alarm clocks and hair dryers in each bathroom. For travelers with children we offer a pack 'n play, portable high chair, and small stool for little ones to reach the bathroom sink (all available upon request).

Easy getaway

We had a great time staying in Escape to Bend condo!! There were two of us and we had more than enough room to spread out. The condo is well appointed and the hot tub was greatly appreciated after a day of skiing.

Amazing stay with a beautiful view

We absolutely loved our stay here - the windows with the view over the valley with the pine trees and Deschutes River below were absolutely gorgeous. The place is close to restaurants, a quick drive to downtown Bend and Old Mill, and on a nice property. The kids loved the playground on-site. The place is very spacious and had everything we needed.

The natural light and view (along with the sound of rushing water) are the highlights of this condo but everything else is great too. The condo was clean, comfortable, and had great community amenities that include a pool, two hot tub tubs, a nice seating area, and a fire pit. The location of the condo was just right for our family: a short distance from the hustle and bustle of downtown but with easy access to the river trail and close to plenty of good eateries and groceries. The kitchen is pretty small but the quality of kitchen items (specifically the knives, skillets, cutting boards, and stovetop) was above average for a rental unit. Comfortable beds, easy communication with host and quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Wow, what a property! The views are amazing, we were able to watch the sun rise each morning, except the day it snowed. The place was very clean and they had everything that you could reasonably ask for. The location was perfect, close to restaurants, shopping and best of all hiking the Deschutes river trail. Will definitely look to stay again on our next trip to Bend!

Cozy and gorgeous!

The rental was so comfortable for our family - in between adventures outside, we cooked, we played games by the fire, and we soaked it up in the hot tub overlooking the river. It was a treat to have the short 5 minute walk down to the river, plus only 15 minutes to snow play, the High Desert Museum and more. Loved it!

Wonderful long weekend in Bend!

My friend and I who came up to visit a friend who lives in Bend, could not have been happier. The condo was great and the kitchen well-equipped; we like to eat in and "chill" rather than eat out. The best was the view and hearing the river below us. Both days we walked along the river and especially appreciated the trail from the condo up and down.

As comfortable as it can get !

Oregon was an amazing State. This was our first VRBO stay out of two more while touring. The view,river hike out you front door ,location and amenities all were as good as it can get. Great Spot, Great Views, And a Private Hot Tub!

Perfect location- close to Bend but still “on the way” to Bachelor. Second bedroom is really a second unit….very private. Clean, well equipped and private for a condo. After a day of skiing, the hot tub was really needed and relaxing. Go for it!

Good Getaway in Bend

We stayed a long weekend with friends in April. Having two bedrooms with bathrooms each was convenient. The view to the river out the great room windows was beautiful and the sound of the river off the deck was relaxing. Deer come right up to the deck. The river trail is accessible and a great way to walk to the parks and Mill District for lunch. Close to everything but feels secluded. Small kitchen, but it has everything you might need to make easy meals. Hot tub was clean and stars at night were beautiful. Would stay again.

Perfect getaway

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The location was ideal for walking the Deschutes River Trail, visiting the Old Mill District, and just enjoying the sounds of the river below while sipping coffee on the deck. It was also centrally located to drive downtown Bend for a dinner outing or to buy groceries to make a family meal together. The rooms were spacious and the beds were firmly comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for appliances and cooking implements including nice sharp knives. The covered parking was a nice treat. Communication with the owner was responsive and prompt. We look forward to staying again for our next visit to Bend!

River View Condo couldn't be better. We loved the view and the complex, and especially loved being able to see and hear the river below and the easy access to the River Trail. This is a first class property, exceptionally clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, blender, everything needed for cooking meals.

We currently live in Kirkland Washington raising our two young sons. It is a dream of ours to own a vacation home where we can retreat as a family and make memories year after year. Finding the right place took some time, but Bend feels like the right place to match our interests in being active and being outdoors.

Scott grew up in the California Bay area and vacationed in Tahoe where his family owned a home. They would take long weekends in all seasons to enjoy time away as a family and have fun. That childhood experience is one that we both want to recreate with our sons.

Why they chose this property

We first visited Bend in 2012 during the summer and stayed in a condo in the Mt. Bachelor Resort. During our stay our two young boys had a blast swimming in the pool, riding scooters on the paved trails nearby and wandering around the Old Mill district in search of ice cream. Our three night stay was not nearly enough time to explore all there is to do in Bend. We left knowing we’d be back. Two years later we spent spring break in Bend, again renting a condo in the Mt. Bachelor Resort. This time our days were filled with skiing and visits to the rock climbing gym in town. After five nights, our boys were sad to leave, and again, we felt like we left so much undone on our vacation agenda. Bend offers what we’ve been looking for in a vacation destination – year round fun for our family, with ample outdoor activities to keep our boys busy now and in the years to come as their interests change. Though we looked at homes in various areas around Bend, nothing compared to the location and amenities available at Mt. Bachelor Resort. When we walked into the particular unit we would eventually buy, the amazing view of the Deschutes River took our break away and the vacation home shopping was over. We are excited to share our vacation home with you and hope you will leave with the same desire to return that we feel.

What makes this property unique

This place feels like you are away from it all, but it's SO centrally located. The Mt. Bachelor Village Resort property has the pool and hot tub for guests use. Plus, the condo itself has a new hot tub (2017) on the deck overlooking the river and Ponderosa Pines below.
