First off, I’d like to thank David for being very accommodating during my stay. I was in a car accident that delayed my arrival. I was disappointed that I was going to have a shorter stay at the cabin. David was very understanding, and let me extend my stay in another cabin that he owned. Highly recommend staying at one of his nice cabins.
Nice place for the price. If you're looking for a fancy place, this may not be what you want. If you are looking for a place that is secluded, has outdoor space and has the basics, it's a good place to hunker down for a fishing r snowmobiling trip.

Great location
Stayed in this cabin for the steelhead run it's right around the corner from the dam... very clean and organized
Secluded cabin in the Wood. We went up to see the fall colors and go to Manistee on Lake Michigan.
Quiet, peaceful location. Close to hiking trails and Lake Michigan. We went to see the fall colors. But this would be a great place for a fisherman only a mile or so from the river and a nice boat launch. The only issue I had there was only one half roll of toilet paper in the bathroom when I arrived had to go to To buy some more

This is a beautiful property. The cabin was comfortable and I had all I needed for a weekend getaway with my black lab. Thank you, David for letting us stay in your place.
Stayed here for a fall fishing trip. The property was just as described. David was great and made sure we knew how to get there. It was very cozy and clean and just the right size for our group. We'd definitely stay here again!
The location was lovely, though there was a dead mouse in the salt box on the porch, which was relatively recent. after a quick removal, we enjoyed a nice weekend of unplugging from the world and just playing board games

Not clean!
It is very dirty. The cupboards are packed and stacked with items from previous renters. All the silverware kitchen are just heaped into a cupboard. they have a regular coffee pot and a Kurig coffee pot on the counter. When I was in town, I bought coffee pods for the cure. Just to find out if Kurig doesn’t work The windows do not open and there is no AC. I actually resented having to pay $30 for pet clean up, as the cottage is so dirty.

Rustic Man Cabin
From the outside it looks nice and cozy. Inside couch is balanced on blocks, there is no where to put dry unfridgerated food except on porch. A low watt lightbulb hangs from the dining table lamp. It is very dark in the cabin except for the kitchen. The bathroom is ok but toilet is very low. On the upside the backyard fire ring and space was great for hanging out. There were plenty of utensils and pans. This is definetly a fishing/snowmobiling man cabin. The curtains were nicely made. However, our biggest challenge was staying warm bc the heaters didn't work. Plus the owner didn't respond until the next day as we were ready to depart. Communication was a bit of a challenge. My adult kids thought it was great but I like cabins with a little more female up to date touches.
