Great location and rustic lodge on the lake. Property is well cared for and ideal for a weekend getaway or family location. Owner is very pleasant and easy to deal with.
We had an amazing time at the lodge! We enjoyed watching the sunset on the dock. The beds were great and the kitchen had everything we needed. We will definitely come again.
We had a wonderful time on Lime Lake. The house was extremely clean, and it had everything we needed for our stay. The location is convenient to so many great Northern Michigan activities. Laura was super easy to work with. We ’re already planning a visit for next summer!
Laura is absolutely amazing! All you need is your people, and food/drinks. House is well cared for, has games and outside seating for everyone, and very well stocked. By far one of the best hosts on VBRO.
Wow! What a wonderful stay.
Incredible lakefront property. Lime Lake is crystal clear with minimal boat traffic. Large backyard with space for bonfires, relaxation, and enjoying the provided yard games. Incredibly clean house with ample space for the extended family. House is well stocked with coffee and any seasoning/cooking utensil you might need along with full toiletries and extra beach towels, also with a washer/dryer. Nearby to so many points of interest from Sleeping Bear Dunes through Leelanau Peninsula. And a phenomenal host ready to help out.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the house and property far exceed expectations!
We had the advantage of knowing and loving the area before we booked, but were pleasantly surprised at comfort and bounty of our stay at Ramoose. This house has everything (expect for a dishwasher)! My daughter didn’t feel well and we found not one but two thermometers to assure us no fever. Night lights and replacement bulbs?! Be sure rent the kayak and paddleboard which were very nice. But the highlight was the pristine lake and the “eat off the floors” cleanliness of the house! Pictures don’t do it justice.
We really enjoyed our stay on Lime Lake my 6 and 7 year old grand daughters and I swam so much and my son brought his fishing boat he caught some good size bass. The house was perfect everything was very clean and comfortable. Everything was stocked well. The beds were comfortable and we had fun with the board games. Thank you Laura for sharing your home with us.
This was the cleanest rental property I’ve ever visited. The pictures don’t even do it justice, the property is beautiful and the lakefront is amazing. I was not expecting the lake to be so clear but it was sandy bottom, shallow, and crystal clear. This property was perfect for our stay and everyone was pleasantly surprised that the entire rental is even better than the photos. Laura was very helpful and showed me around the property on check in. There were so many extra amenities that make this rental stand out like beach/campfire chairs, firewood, coffee, plenty of dishes, and beach games. We loved our stay here!
From the moment we came in contact with the host of this property to the day we had to leave, our experience at this property was 5-star. It was a girls weekend for us which made us really appreciate the little details, like having plenty of towels, pillows, blankets, firewood for the fire pit, the attention of detail in the decor and plenty of dishes, silverware, right down to spices in the cupboard. One of our favorite things was the awesome supply of board games, dominos and such in the closet. We felt like we were at our own family’s cottage on the lake. Our host was readily available and accommodating the entire weekend. She also gave us tips of how we could best see the area’s fall colors. This experience checked all the boxes for our 5-star rating!
The 6 of us ladies really loved this home and have no complaints. The location was great, it's very clean and they had a everything we needed for two nights stay. We really enjoyed checking out the Leelanau Penninsula area. The host was very friendly and responsive.
LOVED the place!!! We’re so happy with the location and the property! Felt right at home from the beginning and the host met us for any questions and gave my friend and I a perfect running route where we saw deer and Turkey and thankfully no bears!!😄 we would definitely go back!!!
This house is very cute with lots of Lake lamps, fish, bear, and other interesting things to look at on the walls. The lake is very shallow with a pebble bottom. It is not really suitable for adult swimming unless one goes out 100+ feet or more. Possible swimmer's itch is also a concern. Overall, the location is excellent. It is very peaceful, cute, and comfortable. The owner is very personable and responsive.
We all had a fabulous vacation! The lake is quiet and beautiful. My brother went fishing everyday and we had enough fish for a fish fry. The bass were delicious. The surrounding area was so full of things to do that we wished we could spend another week there exploring. Great time had by all.
The property has a very personal feeling due to many personal items left there by the owner. It made us feel like we were staying with a close friend rather than staying in a rental.
Plenty of towels and toiletries. Good stock of lawn chairs for the fire pit.
From the very beginning the communication with the owner was excellent!
The home was very clean and stocked with everything that we needed!
This property is absolutely beautiful and a must stay!
We could not have asked for a better experience! Even though the weather was pretty rainy, it did not damper our moods. The property is fantastic. Perhaps the cleanest rental I have ever stayed at. All the essentials are supplied, and then some. Laura was so easy to communicate with, and all details were clearly laid out for us. We truly can’t wait to come back!
House was clean with everything needed for a great stay. Lime Lake was peaceful. I was surprised at how quiet the lake was even on a weekend...made for nice kayaking and visiting by the lake. Close to all the wonderful attractions of Leelanau County too. Thanks for sharing your place!

If you love adventures and history..... take the Manitou Ferry boat from Fishtown to North or South Manitou Island. My picture was taken hiking on South Manitou Island. Lake Michigan is even more beautiful from the Island.
